After admitting that he had preferred other careers than being a Hollywood actor, Charlie St. Cloud actor Zac Efron wanted to clarify the reason why he passed over the opportunity to take the lead in the remake of Footloose.

Zac admitted that he was a big fan of this 80’s film, but he insisted that: “All the things I loved about Footloose I couldn’t find in the project, they just weren’t there – I couldn’t see myself doing it.” In his Details magazine interview, Zac Efron revealed that saying “no” to Footloose was the most difficult phone call he had to make.

Anyway, Zac also told reporters some stories from his childhood days. One of which is they lived beside a haunted house.

Zac was raised in Arroyo Grande, California and that there was a ghost-filled home that everyone in their community was so scared of. It was a place where no one would dare to come inside and they believed that it was haunted because it had all this broken woods and broken glasses add the weird and scary stories that’s roaming around being passed on from generation to generation.

So Zac being a silly kid, they went inside the spooky house. One day they had the courage to go in and he said it was weird he even compared the place to Alice in Wonderland. They and to go through tall grasses to see the front door they went inside and went straight to the attic and they scared their selves when they heard noises – they were surprised to see bats flying around and that’s it just ran away because of the bats, “so yes we believe it was really haunted.”
