It has been confirmed that Emma Stone will be part of the cast of the new Spider-Man movie. From her recent movie Easy A, Stone will now swing to the upcoming Spider-Man prequel. And she’s feeling nervous about it. However, Emma thinks her cold feet can be thwarted. “The approach I’m trying to take so I won’t psych myself out it,” she said.

While everybody’s hushing that Stone will play the role of MJ, the Spider-Man crew has notably stated that Stone will not be the MJ as what the rumors are saying. Instead, the East A lead star will be playing the role of Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker’s girlfriend before he had MJ Watson.

Marc Webb, the director of the upcoming Spider-Man prequel explained why they have included Stone in the movie. After seeing the actress and Andrew Garfield, who will be playing Parker/ Spider-Man, displaying an instant connection with each other, Webb thought, “The chemistry between Andrew and Emma was stunning and made Emma the clear choice.” Furthermore, Webb continues, “Much to my surprise, it was fun to find out that our choice for Gwen – Emma – is also a natural blonde.”

This for the fact that Stone is a known redhead; the actress will presumably be slipping back to her natural hair color to play as Gwen Stacy, which is blonde.

Stone really got her shining fame slowly rising this year. According to Matt Tolmach, the co-chairman of the Sony Pictures Entertainment, “It’s been an incredible journey for us to watch Emma’s star rise as an actress. She is extraordinarily talented and has a very special on-screen spark that is perfect for this role.”
