Southwest Airlines upgraded to ‘BUY’ by Deutsche Bank

Analysts at Deutsche Bank (NYSE: DB) raised their price target on shares of Southwest Airlines Co. from $14.00 to $18.00 in a research note to investors on Tuesday. They now have a “buy” rating on the stock. Also, analysts at CRT Capital upgraded shares of Southwest Airlines Co. from a “hold” rating to a “buy” rating in a research note to investors on Friday, March 11st.

Equities research analysts at Zacks Investment Research reiterated a “neutral” rating on shares of Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV) in a research note to investors on Thursday. The analysts currently have a $12.00 price target on the stock.

Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE:LUV) moved up 2.32%, to close at $11.91 and its overall traded volume was 16.86M shares while reporting, with average traded volume of 9.43M shares. LUV opened the day at $11.65, it made an intraday low of $11.62 and an intraday high of $11.94. The stock has a 52 week range of $10.42 – $14.32. LUV’s market capitalization is $8.91B and it has 747.96M outstanding shares.

The market capitalization of the company stands at $8.84B and it has 741.94M outstanding shares.

Tensions Rekindled in Real Housewives of New York

Reality shows always get us the inkling of how ‘real’ can be so entertainingly absurd. The Real Housewives of New York just chucked in their maiden episode for their 4th season. It isn’t all that drag that we’re expecting but Alex McCord and Jill Zarin drama has been picked up as they rendezvous in Ramona Singer’s swan song summer party. Things get a little bit interesting, so to speak.

Alex then surmised that he believed that running barefoot was extremely cut-throat to walk into the party seeing Jill chilling out. It’s not her style to just pretend absolutely nothing ever occurred between them. Nonetheless, she became annoyed about their confrontations from the past season..Alex thought that Jill did materialize some horrible issues – not just to her but along with other individuals. There’s no reason to exhibit pretension when everyone exactly knew her holistic character that’s generally unpleasant.

On the other side of the couch, Jill Zarin mulls over that it appears absolutely nothing is more suitable that all of them to put down the hatchet and move on with their respective lives.

Jill deemed that she is Alex’s “cheerleader” and in wonderment. there is no reason to hate that much. This is what Jill announced to Kelly Bensimon. Jill is still optimistic that they are able to resolve misgivings of the past. Patching up will be a route to drive off tensions away.

Everyone still has doubts if Jill Zarin has learned her lessons. Later in the episode, Jill is again caught verbalizing her dislike for Alex. So much for the “nice and kind” mantra, huh?

James Franco is biting another bullet for his disappointing Oscar hosting gig. Telling no less than the New York magazine that the 32 year old actor didn’t quite “get there” as an Oscar front guy, comedy penpusher Bruce Vilanch got the ire of Franco in Twitter. In the microblogging platform, the actor scribbled all his distress about letdown spewed against him. He told everyone that Bruce – “he let me down”. Poor thing!

The 127 Hours actor also expressed his dismay about Vilanche’s pillaging about Franco’s hosting job by posting a picture of them together with funny scribbles stating the thoughts of Vilanche about him. We’re guessing James doesn’t take criticisms so lightly, eh?

In another front, the Prince William and Kate Middleton wedding is starting to take shape as the wedding carriage which will be used has been identified. It’s the same vehicle that was used by Princess Diana and Prince Charles in their 1981 wedding event – a 1902 State Landau refurbished with gold paint and red upholstery. It’s actually called the Rolls Royce 1.

They will ride this carriage as they traipse the Westminster Abbey by means of central London towards the Buckingham palace. Any girl will be surely delighted to have a wedding made in heaven such as what is Kate is experiencing in April 29.

Kanye West can’t be all that bad as he is taking Nicki Minaj under his wing.

Rapping greenhorn Nicki Minaj looks up to Kanye West as her true-blue mentor. Despite the negative publicities that hound the 33 year old rapper, Nicki has only good words for Kanye she is comfortable asking him advice about music, career and even fashion. Nicki insists that Kanye West is a “good person” whom she has “well-rounded conversation” about things that matter to her.

Meanwhile, Kanye West was again heard ranting in front of a concert audience about his so-called haters in response to the success of his newly released album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.”

The rapper did his bizarre rants when he performed at New York’s Bowery Ballroom to promote his new album. The 33-year old rapper began his performance with a nine-minute rant. The rant started as a “triumphant speech” which evidently was about his album record sales and ended with old grumbles against Taylor Swift.

His rant started as, “I always felt like I could do anything, but now I feel so fearless.” Kanye continued, “To do an album after the after the year that I’ve had and all the ‘Your career is over. To come back and do 100, 000 the first day digital alone – what the number says is that people want me to keep making music.”

The rapper, as what was mentioned, also included the issue that happened at the VMAs with Taylor Swift. He said, “When you do things like what happened last year, it’s disrespectful to everyone as creators. If I wasn’t drunk I would have been on stage longer. Everyone wants to villainize people, what I said about George Bush, I was emotional, that was not exactly the way I wanted to word it.”

He ended with, “But I rode it, I rode it. Just as Taylor never came to my defense in any interview, and rode the wave, and rode the wave, and rode it, rode it.”

James Franco snags another TV job offer for ‘General Hospital’ next year.

Just a week after being tapped for the prestigious Oscar hosting job with Anne Hathaway, James Franco will also be joining the ABC medical drama “General Hospital’, in which he will take on again his serial killer role up his sleeves in March 2011.

This is definitely good news after reports say that the hosts for the 83rd Annual Academy Awards are being given to Anne Hathaway and James Franco last week. However, this report never reached the doorsteps of Franco’s two co-stars – Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis.

During the red carpet premiere of the film “Black Swan” in New York, the film that stars Portman, Franco and Kunis, the lead star Portman was interviewed and asked what she thought about the invitation sent to Franco being one of the hosts for the upcoming Academy Awards. Portman shared, “I didn’t hear about that! That’s awesome. That’s really cool.”

Mila Kunis, who also starred with the Franco and Portman, revealed that she first-hand heard it on the premiere of “Black Swan.” Kunis exclaimed, “What? That’s awesome! I think they’re going to do a great job.”

Portman and Kunis will probably be on the Academy Awards as “Black Swan” is preferably be nominated in the awards. Most probably, the film will be nominated for Best Actress, Best Picture and Best Supporting Actress.

While everybody is excited to watch the “Black Swan,” everybody’s also anticipating for more fun at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards.

The rumored couple was seen popping out at Park Slope’s Gorilla Coffee and ordered for specialty maple lattes which are made of pure Vermont syrup.

A person from the shop shared, “They were really sweet, really, really sweet. They get treated like normal people around here.”

Jake’s sister Maggie Gyllenhaal, according to the source, is always seen at the shop, sometimes with Jake. People from the shop also shared that that was the first time they’ve seen Taylor come by their shop.

Lady Gaga has invested in an upscale restaurant in New York.

“Bad Romance” may have worked for Lady Gaga but definitely she would find “bad food” unacceptable. So it’s a wise business move for her to decide on being a part-owner of Vince & Eddie’s, a plush restaurant located at the Upper West side in Manhattan.

Catering to mostly high end customers, Vince & Eddie’s serve delectable New American cuisine. Lady Gaga is very ecstatic with this new venture and she revealed: “I am thrilled on making menu suggestions. Some dishes may have to display some Lady Gaga touch to it.”

Actually, it was her folks who first became shareholders of the said establishment in 1989. Now, Lady Gaga is taking over their participation in it, though as “silent partner” because she’s busy with her music career. But, how serious is Lady Gaga about this new venture? She said: “I am considering restaurant business as a career fallback now. It’s definitely on my list.”

Lady Gaga fans who might want to catch her can head over to Vince & Eddie’s because she comes here often to “taste test” their hearty meals. Her mom Cynthia Germanotta shared the tip – the 24 year old pop diva comes to the place during her free time.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga is proud to announce that her “Born This Way” album is nearing consummation. She had announced through her official Twitter account that the project is “almost perfect”. Although Lady Gaga is on tour in Europe until Christmas, she is still fervently working on her album’s release next year. We’re guessing fans are already on the lookout for the new edgy songs Lady Gaga has in store for them.

Is South Park guilty of copying a Youtube viral video?

The producers of South Park and Comedy Central are now under fire after they are accused again of infringing the copyright of a Youtube video that went viral in 2007. We are referring to “What What (in the Butt)” by Samwell.

The music video producer Brownmark Films is filing a complaint for copying their work “nearly frame by frame” in a South Park segment shown in 2008. However, Comedy Central denied that they “copied” the video because it was a parody. In their statement, they said: “…the parody of the ‘What What (In the Butt)’ viral music video that appeared in the 2008 episode of ‘South Park’ entitled ‘Canada on Strike,’ is fully protected against any copyright infringement claims under the fair-use doctrine and the First Amendment and we plan to vigorously defend those rights.”

We can only wish these squabbles behind South Park will be ironed out soon. They nearly got into trouble when they also copied lines from a parody of Inception from CollegeHumor.com!

Emma Watson is gearing up to be a fashion icon.

Since the release of the cinema teaser of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, everybody’s been hyped up to where will the first part ends and how much has it strayed away from the book. However, these were not anymore anticipated as the viewers’ eyes were consumed on Emma Watson’s newly shorn locks and her lovely red-carpet dress, as the actress came on the movie’s premiere at New York Monday night.

The event was streamed live through MTV News. Emma Watson’s wardrobe was given a 90 percent thumbs up by the viewers through an online poll generated by MTV. The actress’ gown was a specially made Calvin Klein gown, so there’s no wonder why she looked fabulous that night.

The actress was amazed on the high percentage she got on the online poll, “Really? That’s a high percentage! That’s great!” Though she considered it as a really high number, she thought that it could have been a hundred percent if she took off her dress, and of course that was only her joke.

Regarding her character in the movie as Hermione, she revealed during the MTV News’ interview that she wishes that her character had played the Quidditch game. She shared, “Hermione is not really the athletic type, but I wish I got to ride on a broomstick.”

LeAnn Rimes has already reacted on the spreading report that she is already engaged to Eddie Cibrian. The singer-actress claimed that she is not engaged to her “Northern Lights” co actor Eddie Cibrian – the report is a false one.

LeAnn posted on her Twitter account about the said report and tweeted, “Ok, I’ve about had it with the lack of reporting with E! News.” She further expressed her feelings and confessed, “The fact that our ‘engagement’ has spread so furiously over the past 24 hours off of an E! News article that is 150% untrue just shows you the lack of credible ‘sources’ they seem to find and build a story around. When CNN is calling my publicist off of a lie. E! News has reported, the media world seriously has a problem with their lack of responsibility to the public to actually report the truth.”

LeAnn did not make any reactions at first when she heard about the news, but she went on a blast, particularly on E News reporters. She suggested, “The journalists should be investigated for their lack of ‘investigative reporting.’”

Moreover, LeAnn wrote in her account, “Eddie and I are beyond happy and in love and look forward to one day sharing such private news with you all and hopefully will be able to enjoy it privately and share it with our family and friend’s before the world knows.”

The 22 year old singer has revealed another piece of body art. It is printed on her neck with the words rebelle fleur which is French term meaning flower rebel.

Actually, she has tattoos in different parts of her body. She has something written on her collarbone that says “always a failure, always a lesson.” She as well allegedly has a handgun etched across her ribcage.

Rihanna is not happy with that still and she has the birth date of her assistant tattooed on her left shoulder. And she has a lot more that has different interesting designs.

And in another story, Paris Hilton was sued because of wearing the wrong hair extensions.

The “Stars are Blind” singer is faced with a $35 million law suit because of wearing the fake locks of a competitor. Hairtech International, Inc., the hair extension company that Paris has been advertising said that she breached her contract by wearing other hair extensions. Paris was as well unable to attend the said company’s launch party of a product in 2007 because she was in jail at that time.

Rihanna is very much at home in expressing herself through inking. Well it’s her choice and it’s her body. But for Paris, she’d better not do anything illegal or else.
