Glee Snatches 19 Emmy Nominations, Ageless Appeal by Plastic Surgery

Fox-produced TV show ‘Glee’ is on a roll in the Emmy nominations as it grabbed a spot in 19 categories. Whew, that’s really something huh? Clearly, it will dominate the 62nd Annual Emmy Awards as it snatched the most-coveted nods in Best Comedy Series, Outstanding Comedy and Outstanding Actor in a Comedy, where we know Mr. Schuster (Matthew Morrison) is definitely a shoo-in for this one.

Actually, despite the 19 Emmy nominations, ‘Glee’ trailed in second place for the most nominations to ‘The Pacific’, which is a war drama-slash-miniseries that gained 24 nominations all in all. For the Best in Comedy Series, ‘Glee’ is facing formidable competition with ’30 Rock’ which has been winning three years in a row. The awards night is surely much-awaited on August 29 which will be hosted by talk show host Jimmy Fallon live in Los Angeles.

In another thought-provoking news, stars have been running to plastic surgery to maintain an ageless look.

Springing forth from the fountain of youth, the timeless eternity searched for by countless people has seen mass production in the form of plastic surgery. Stippled faces are sanded down into granite busts that are lacking the emotion that a first year art student so desperately craves.

The availability of enhancing surgeries has allowed for bottled contentment to be marketed to insecure women on the false pretenses of aging gracefully.

Some procedures even laud the fast recovery time where sagging parts are transformed into bloody stitches and staples sure to melt away inside the chrysalis of human morphology.

The body given the gift of life has been marked return to sender with a blaring red sign, better known as reject.

Beauty has become a weapon that kills chances of settling for natural looks, as women would rather opt for the unreal or the unhappiness.
Facing facts, the face is the first aspect of you that people notice. Faces are the billboards that either makes us speed past or stop and slow down. What does a puffy sign with surgery scars say to onlookers?

Though in some cases, plastic surgery is helpful and supportive or may even be needed, the trend and fashion form it has dwelt in is dangerous. So it will be beneficial if it will be done solely by professional and not some fly-by-night surgery clinics.

Christina Aguilera Channeling Lady Gaga Style & Outfits?

What is this news going on asking whatever happened to Christina Aguilera? That she used to have it all and now her newest album, Bionic, is tanking as she is constantly being harassed about copying Lady Gaga?!

Now, wait a minute! Both singers are awesome in their own right. But wasn’t it Christina who paved the way for all these weird outfits and hairdos that Lady Gaga and even Katy Perry are donning these days?

And don’t get me started about who’s a better singer because the 29-year old singer has been here for ten years now. She was the one who gave us “Beautiful” and her songs have always been hit songs even in karaoke bars and in Las Vegas. Even without make up and all those bizarre costumes, Christina can definitely sing. And last I heard, her new single “Not Myself Tonight” is topping the charts in UK even when there are not much promotions going around.

So, what do you think? Why are people so intent on creating an Aguilera-Gaga feud?

Glee Invades London and More Exciting Artists Lend Songs to the Show

On another musical note, cast members of hit TV show Glee, Matthew Morrison, Jenna Ushkowitz, Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale and Amber Riley were spotted promoting their show in London on Tuesday, June 15.

It is reported that Matthew will be recording his album in London this month and that all the music will be of his own writing. It’ll be a cross between Michael Buble and Justin Timberlake.

Furthermore on Glee, Coldplay has now given its permission to use their songs on the show. And so far, only Bryan Adams has declined to an opportunity like this. I wonder why?

Glee fans will surely be thrilled with this new development!

Singer/actress Lea Michele and Glee co-star Matthew Morrison will be taking the stage at the 2010 Tony Awards in New York City this month!

The Glee actors will be appearing on the telecast, together with the cast of Promises, Promises and Green Day. It will be aired live on June 13 from Radio City Music Hall. This is just so fantastic! Add to that the fact that Sean Hayes will be hosting the ceremony!

Watch out for the rest of the stars scheduled to appear on the show as well: Cate Blanchett, Antonio Banderas, Michael Douglas, Helen Mirren and Scarlett Johansson. Oh wow!

The Tony’s is an awards show that celebrates the best and brightest in musical theater. So hat does Miley think of that??? She apparently doesn’t get Glee and doesn’t understand why people watch it. Hmp! Thoughts?

Matthew Morrison Denies Dating Lea Michele Rumors

Glee‘s Matthew Morrison is aghast at how rumors are spreading that he is dating his co-star Lea Michele. The 31 year old Mr. Schuester shudders at how tabloids are taking potshots at his love life. First was that he was a cheating boyfriend. And now, the nastiest of it came as he received the news that he is in a relationship with an actress who plays his student in the hit TV show. Morrison doesn’t want to worry about these gossips anymore.

Matthew Morrison revealed that he and Lea Michele were obviously surprised at the incorrect tabloid facts that were milling around. He averred that: “There’s the one about Lea Michele and myself, and we were literally on set and I got a call from my publicist, and she got a call a minute later and we looked at each other like, ‘What the ****?’ It’s so laughable… I’ve never gotten into tabloids and I don’t really care about it now, but I just feel bad for other people in my life who are getting dragged into it. It just kinda sucks.”

Playing as teacher to the younger cast as made him protective of them in real life, Matthew shared. In fact, fellow cast members Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer has been taking him as their confidante. In an interview with Parade.com, Matthew mentioned that: “‘They come to me with a lot of questions about things. I am the teacher on the show, and it’s kind of translated to our real lives. They have a certain amount of respect for me, so it’s kinda cool.”

About the Lea Michele dating thing, it’s completely false because she’s dating Theo Stockman a NYU Tisch grad and Broadway actor too. They were photographed kissing at the TIME gala.
