Lea Michele in New Year’s Eve Film Debut, Kanye West Pop Culture Contributor

Fresh from the GQ Glee photo shoot brouhaha, Lea Michele thankfully has better news to deal with this week. Yes, Lea is bracing herself for her first film offering! The 24 year old Glee star is included in the all-star cast of New Year’s Eve.

As a spin-off of the successful film Valentine’s Day, New Year’s Eve will also feature stars like Reese Witherspoon, Halle Berry and possibly Justin Bieber. Although her role is still under the talks, Garry Marshall will return to meg the all-star film project.

Kanye West admitted that he has thought of taking his daylights out, but changed his mind later and felt having a responsibility in making a meaningful contribution to pop culture and art. Though, the rapper did not actually admit when he had decided to have that dreadful attempt.

The rapper first admitted this occurrence to an audience during the screening of his new film “Runaway” in Los Angeles. He told that person that although there had been times that he contemplated the thought many times, he would never give up on life again. He also confessed that that was just some of his consequences in life. He explained that he is already an icon for pop culture and also a soldier for culture.

According to the rapper, “There were so people who would never have their voices heard and I would do that for them.”

Kanye West, aside from being a music icon, was also credited for being a director of a 35-minute film that features portions of Kanye West’s nine new songs. The film is said to be premiering this weekend on American cable channels. This film of his will also be accompanying the rapper’s upcoming album entitled “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” which will be released this 22nd of November.

Nicki Minaj, another rapper, is the narrator of the film. Famous artists from the music industry will appear on the soundtrack including Sir Elton John, Alicia Keys, Fergie and John Legend.

In Kanye’s song “Power,” he had slightly revealed the reason behind and the act his suicide attempt. The song includes the line, “Now this would be a beautiful death — I’m jumping out the window, I’m letting everything go.”

The rapper said that after the release of his Fantasy album, which was recorded in Hawaii with the likes of Q-Tip, DJ Premier, RZA and Pete Rock, Kanye tells that he will release an album of songs that will include Jay-Z in the soundtracks. Also included is a collaboration with Lupe Fiasco and Pharell Williams.

An Acting Career For Justin Bieber?

After conquering every “tween-aged” girl’s heart through his music, the teen pop sensation Justin Bieber is said to be eyeing another feather in his cap. Are you ready to see him shine as an actor?

According to Garry Marshall – the director of the movie Valentine’s Day, Justin Bieber is being convinced to be part of the cast of the movie sequel entitled New Year’s Eve.

The director said:

Already, they’re mentioning Justin Bieber. I have no idea who that is, but I’m sure we’ll meet. I have a script. I did a rewrite. We’re rewriting it now. It’s supposed to shoot in New York in September. It’s supposed to be a similar cast of a number of stars. It’s written like that, but we hope to get all new stars except for Hector Elizondo, who has to be in all my movies. So he’s gonna play a guy you’ll never recognize. I hear they keep mentioning this Justin Bieber. Perhaps I’d better see who he is, so when he arrives on set, possibly [we can talk]. So we’ll see.

Julia Roberts Reunited with ‘Pretty Woman’ Crew

For Julia Roberts, her new movie Valentine’s Day is not like any other film she had made. In fact, it is a sweet venue to be reunited with the crew she had work with on her first hit movie ‘Pretty Woman’. Julia Roberts could not hide her thrill working with them again after 10 years. Incidentally, they all worked together in ‘Runaway Bride’ too, which was also directed by Garry Marshall.

The 42 year old ‘Mona Lisa Smile’ actress informed that she is beyond pleased to see them again. Especially Marshall, who had been there in the highlights of her career as an actress. Julia mentioned that: “‘We had a lot of ‘Pretty Woman’ people on the set. Our Director of Photography, Chuck Minsky, shot ‘Pretty Woman’ and our prop department was the same.” She even joked that nothing has really change but they “all gotten 20 years older” and they seem to reunite every ten years.”‘We did ‘Pretty Woman’, and then, ten years later, we did ‘Runaway Bride’, and then, ten years later we did ‘Valentine’s Day’. So, I will see all of you again when I’m 51.”

Julia Roberts, unfortunately, lamented that there wouldn’t be a sequel to ‘Pretty Woman’ anymore beacuse nobody would want to see an “old hooker” on screen, she joked.

Valentine’s Day, which will be shown over the weekend, is expected to do good in the box office. It has an all-star cast, which includes Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jamie Foxx and more. It even features the first on-screen team up of Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner. Guess everyone will be watching it to see all these stars!
