No Post Breakup Blues for Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron

Despite some racy photos hacked from her email account, Vanessa Hudgens is enjoying her unattached self. In fact, Vanessa Hudgens bared in an interview with host Ellen DeGeneres that she is still communicating with ex-squeeze Zac Efron. There’s no point to be mum about a relationship that did end gracefully.

The 22 year old Beastly actress described that Zac and her are “excellent”. She deemed that just after many years their bond is so strong that they can’t avoid to “stay close friends.” That’s good to know that there’s still a flicker of hope if they realize they were meant for each other.

But here’s a clincher – Ellen quizzed Vanessa with regards to her rumored new flame in the person of Josh Hutcherson! The Disney star seemed to evade the topic and bannered the “just friends” cliche. So they are just “buddies”, huh? We’ll believe that for now. However, Ellen can’t stop from rubbing it in as she pointed out that the guy (Josh) looks like “he’s more than a friend”. So Vanessa had no choice but to reveal that they went to movies together. She likes him a lot too!

Should Zac Efron be worried? We don’t think so. This year has so much in store for the Hollywood cutie.

Zac is working on many projects lately. He’s been cast in New Year’s Eve and he will be working with Taylor Swift as a love interest in a Dr. Seuss film The Lorax. And yes, he’s still working up that great bod. So much for the post-breakup blues right? Both stars are doing so well.

He was that kid who played an amazing rendition of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” on the piano. That’s Greyson Chance and he is indeed in the route to give Justin Bieber some competition in the music industry. The 13 year old boy from Wichita Falls, Texas is now launching his debut album called “Waiting Outside the Lines”.

Ellen Degeneres got Greyson to sign up as an artist for her ElevenEleven label. Now, Greyson himself cannot believe he will be releasing his debut album. He’s excited because every song in it he says “came from the heart”. He beamed: “I can’t wait for everyone to take this journey with me.”

Best of luck to you, kid! We are looking forward to more amazing performances and we’re waiting to have your songs in our iPods!

After 2 months of being husband and wife, Anna Paquin and Stephen
Moyer have a lot of to be thankful for. The True Blood stars have decided to take it to the next level – True Love! Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer have finally tied the knot after being together for one year. The two exchanged I do’s last August 21 night at a beachside villa in Malibu.

According to one of their close friends, “it was a beautiful evening to get married and the sunset was gorgeous. The couple seemed very excited to celebrate their wedding day with their families and close friends.” After a yearlong engagement, they finally did it!

Stephen proposed to Anna with a vintage style ring on the same beach. How sweet can that be? “It’s great to have the freedom to enjoy your work and not feel like you’re leaving your other life behind, what we have is a pretty sweet setup.” Celebrity guests included True Blood’s creator Alan Ball, Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesley, Ryan Kwanten, Carrie Preston and Elijah Woods. Anna wore a white halter neck gown and Neil Lane jewelry. Stephen wore the classic black suit.

As to who designed their outfits, it’s still a secret. They prefer to keep “their private lives – private,” that’s why they were called the super private pair, they kept their relationship private and only went out last February of 2009.

Heidi Montag seems not to be running out of gimmicks to pull off media attention. During her sojourn to the beaches of Costa Rica, her blue bikini almost lost control in holding her G-cup sized chests that it almost fell off while she was swimming off the emerald green waters.

Well, knowing Heidi and her publicity-hungry ex-husband Spencer Pratt – no harm done for the free peek at her implanted chests as what any media expert know – bad publicity is still publicity.

Husband Spencer Pratt also had his share of story to tell in Costa Rica. Spencer was arrested in Costa Rica last Saturday for illegal possession of a firearm on his way back to the United States. He was apparently booked in a local jail and was immediately released.

Spencer told his fans via his Twitter his horrible experience at the jail “Costa Rican jail smells like children’s tears and soup… if I know the government was tem Jacob, I would’ve kept my mouth shut.” When asked why he was in Costa Rica, he said that it was a part of his spiritual cleansing, he spent some time alone in the jungle reflecting on his transgression and trying to work out how can he become a better person.

He shared his hunting experience in the island – he needed to hunt to survive – that’s the reason why he has a gun. He claimed that he mistakenly brought his hunting weapons with him to the airport. He claimed it was an honest mistake and he’s sad that he was banned from the country. After his release, he’s going to continue his so called “spiritual journey.”

To a more news-worthy story, Jennifer Lopez will be one of the judges on the next season of American Idol (Season 10). While J.Lo fans are excited to see her as judge of the infamous American Idol, there are reports that J.Lo’s stint as judge on the show is being sabotage by dark forces.

According to the new report released, FOX executives believe that these rumors spreading against Lopez are made up by the show’s competitors and as well as Lopez’ competitions. They allegedly accused Lopez that she has “diva demands” before signing the contract with FOX.

The rumored demands included that Lopez demanded too much money for her fee and also insisted on a movie deal in exchange of being a judge on the show.

FOX tells that a movie is really included in the deal but this was not insisted by Lopez.

Credible sources say that the negotiations were just between Lopez and the FOX executives. The negotiations were said to be just normal going on the process. Sources from FOX said that Lopez will finally sign the contract and be named officially as “American Idol judge.”

Lopez’ team has been working on the negotiation for over a month.

After Ellen DeGeneres announced that she will not be a judge for the show anymore, rumors said that Lopez will take her place. However, Kara DioGuardi took the place of DeGeneres, and now DioGuardi is exiting the show. Finally, Lopez is in the show as judge. She will be joining Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler, who is said to be replacing Simon Cowell.

Ryan Reynolds Producing NBC comedy show – Snooki Decries Feeding Failure

Green Lantern star Ryan Reynolds is set to produce a comedy project for NBC. ‘Mayors of Casterbridge’ has been described as the Old School meets Gran Torino, the story will revolve around four old statesmen who lives in a classic American neighborhood whose being threatened by a youngster who aims to “homogenize the town.”

Reynolds is expected to do a cameo in the pilot episode. The said show aims to “spotlight the less explored sexagenarian in all his vitality, rage, corrosive wit and bottomless immaturity,” Reynolds said.

In another news, Jersey Shore star Snooki (a.k.a. Nicole Polizzi) has expressed her dismay over the cops who arrested her a few days ago. She claims that the cops didn’t feed her while she was in jail, according to the police officers who were with her Snooki was asking for a bologna sandwich, “it was a very scary experience and I would never want to go to jail again! They didn’t even give me a bologna sandwich.”

Lesson learned Snooki, even though you’re a star you won’t receive a “stellar treatment” at prison cells or in your case county jail. She also said that she was just having a good time when the incident happened she’s a good person and she’s never got into any trouble she said during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres. She’s just glad that it’s over now.

And there it goes; another chair is emptied as one of the American Idol’s jurors leave the show.

Kara DioGuardi officially stated that she is leaving the hit singing prime time competition. It has been rumored that DioGuardi was fired from the show as a juror. But this speculation has been successfully refuted in less than two months after DioGuardi released an official statement.

In Dioguardi’s statement, “I felt like I won lottery when I joined American Idol two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave Idol. I am very proud to have been associated with American Idol; it has truly been an amazing experience.”

DioGuardi as a songwriter had joined Idol last 2008 as the fourth juror of the singing competition. She said that the singing competition taught her to nurture the rising talent of the new generation.

She furthermore added, “I am thankful to FOX, Fremantle Media and 19 Entertainment, as well as the cast, crew and contestants, for all they have given to me. I hope all the best for everyone on Season 10!”

DioGuardi’s co-jurors American Idol, Simon Cowell and Ellen Degeneres isn’t parting away with bad terms. The relationship between the jurors is amazingly wonderful. According to Simon Fuller, executive producer of American Idol, DoiGuardi is “one of the best songwriters in the industry. She has been passionate and committed to Idol over the last two seasons.” Fuller expressed that the whole American Idol will really miss DioGuardi on the show.

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest may have to be the best person to ask about his reaction of the departure of Ellen DeGeneres their show’s tenth season. After all, Ryan and Randy Jackson are the only ones left since Americal Idol started 10 years ago.

Ryan informed that he did not expect that the 52 year old talk show host decided not to join next season. So he wrote on his Twitter page: “Spoke with Ellen DeGeneres tonight. I will miss her on Idol. She’s one of the kindest and most talented people in Hollywood!”

On the brighter side, Ryan Seacrest might be really taking a serious step in his personal life as he is reported to be giving his house key to girlfriend Julianne Hough.

Yep, the 32 year old American Idol host and Dancing with the Stars talent Julianne Hough has been rumored to move in together, where? To Ryan’s mansion in Nichols Canyon. It’s a plush part of LA. Ryan feels lonely in his mansion since he’s living there alone for the past 4 years.

He acquired the mansion from Actor Kevin Costner for $11.5 million. The two denied that they we’re dating and insisted that their relationship is strictly professional. Earlier this month they were spotted together in a romantic getaway to Portofino, Italy aboard Ryan’s yacht – how can still they deny the rumors? LOL!

As Ellen DeGeneres steps down as a judge of the American Idol, Jennifer Lopez is being tapped to take the seat as a judge of American Idol, according to various online report.

According to Deadline’s report the newest addition to the “Idol” judges’ table. Negotiations have been going on for over a month to bring Jennifer on board. JLo’s manager Benny Medina, initiated the meeting with “Idol” producers. Jennifer was said to replace Ellen who said in a statement on Access Hollywood:

“A couple months ago, I let FOX and the ‘American Idol’ producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me, I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next.”

“It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for, I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings.”

Mark Wahlberg may not heard from Michael Lohan since he told the papers he was reaching out to “The Other Guys” star to help his daughter, Lindsay Lohan.

Mark already said he wishes her the best:

“I met him once or twice… But she’s certainly in my prayers. Anybody that’s having any kind of trouble and needs saving I try to pray for.”

Mark Wahlberg had also spent sometime in jail, but recovered and become a successful actor, a loving husband and father of four and a producer. He also added:

“I just wish the best for her and her family, anyone who’s incarcerated — that they turn their life around and start doing the right thing.”

What is happening to the judges of American Idol, first Paula Abdul, then Simon Cowell then now Ellen DeGeneres?

After just one season, talk show host Elle DeGeneres is leaving the judges’ table of American Idol. She said in her Twitter account yesterday: “I’ve voted myself off American Idol.” It turns out that she informed the producers months before that she’s leaving. She felt like it wasn’t the right “fit for her,” and that her schedule became “more than she bargained for” and that she loves discovering, nurturing and supporting young talents but it was difficult for her to judge them and end up hurting their feelings.

The American Idol producers understood her situation and support her decision, in their statement they said “she brought honest and optimism to our judging panel and I will miss her greatly,” said Simon Fuller AI’s creator and executive producer. For Network Groups was also saddened by her decision to leave the show “we were fortunate to receive the humor, energy and love for talent that she brought to the show,” said Peter Rice, Fox Network Groups, Chairman of Entertainment. We wonder who will replace the Simon and Ellen. Will this be the last season of Idol? We hope not!

We go to another health story, a new supplement promises weight loss but it is still on its experimental stage.

Orexigen’s experimental drug Contrave is designed to reduce cravings. Volunteers who took the said supplement lost a total of 13 pounds in a year. They felt less craving for sweet and starchy food. They even felt fuller that they didn’t have to fulfill their cravings.

The study was published in Lancet medical journal. The study showed side effects but was mild and went away over time. So this might be an auspicious future for Contrave. Nonetheless, experts still claim that a further study must be done to make sure that it is safe.

The data of the said study has already been presented to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. It is scheduled for approval in December.
Contrave is a mixture of the antidepressant bupropion, a generic version of GlaxoSmithKline’s Wellbutrin, and naltrexone, used to treat alcoholism and other addictions.

Now, this is something that weight conscious people will have to look forward for. Many weight loss supplements are now flooding the market but most of them promise the same thing—weight loss. Yes they are maybe effective but they are relatively costly. Let’s just wait and hold on to our seats as we wait for the release of this another weight loss supplement. I only hope that it won’t cost that much.

Charice in Star King – Third Time is a Charm in Korea (VIDEO)

Filipino Youtube sensation Charice made another spectacular performance in Star King – the Korean TV show that is acknowledged to be where the singer gained fame worldwide.

If you live under the rock and don’t know a thing about Charice’s rise to fame, Star King is the show where her famous Youtube videos came from. They were uploaded and it paved the way for Charice to get noticed by talk show host Ellen Degeneres. Then, Oprah Winfrey invited her and the rest is history.

Her third time in Star King was shown in Korea yesterday, July 24. As usual, Charice belted out several Whitney Houston hits like “I Have Nothing”, “I Will Always Love You and “When You Believe”. However, what got most raves is her rendition of “One Moment in Time” where Charice got most applause from the audience. Heren is the video of Charice sweeping the Star King away with “One Moment in Time”:

We cannot understand Korean but it looks like they were amazed again by Charice. The swan song of Charice for Star King is her hit single “Pyramid”, which is doing pretty well on the Billboard charts.

Despite everything Charice achieved, she is currently being criticized for undergoing Botox under Filipino plastic surgeon Vicki Belo. At her young age, most people think she does not deserve to feel bad about her looks. Charice insisted that she agreed to have Botox and Thermage to make her look best when she appears on American musical-comedy show Glee, where she notched a recurring character for its second season.

Oh well, fans should not dwell on all the negative vibes around Charice. What is important is that she will feel confident appearing in Glee and she’ll amaze everyone with her big talent.

Youtube sensation Charice is not just busy gracing U.S. magazine covers but she’s also due to take South Korea by storm for the third time. Yep, the 17 year old Filipina singing darling is scheduled to guest in ‘Star King’ one more time.

‘Star King’ is actually the Korean TV show that propelled Charice to international fame. Her singing prowess was noticed by Ellen Degeneres when her guesting in Star King in 2008 was uploaded over Youtube. No wonder, Charice herself cannot forget the break she got in this Korean TV show as she publicized in her official Twitter account that: “I got discovered because of this show.. now, I’m going back to Star King this July 24 to show my love for them! Korea!!!!”

The showing date will be July 24 but the taping day for Charice’s 2010 ‘Star King’ guesting is scheduled tomorrow July 13. I’m guessing all Charice fans are thrilled to see her amazing performance once again.

So many controversies may surround it but the plastic surgery is, even now, one of the advancing technologies in the market. The actual question is whether we should focus more on ethical aspects or medical ones. Another skin issue that people should be wary about is the risk of having melanoma, which is the third most common skin disease at present. Plastic surgery cannot do anything to prevent the spread of this dreaded skin problem.

Skin care trends are always changing and with more research, skincare experts and scientists are finding better and more useful ingredients in the battle against aging. What most dermatologists will recommend is to wear sunblock. SPF15 is the safest choice.
