Lady Gaga as a future restaurant magnate?

Lady Gaga has invested in an upscale restaurant in New York.

“Bad Romance” may have worked for Lady Gaga but definitely she would find “bad food” unacceptable. So it’s a wise business move for her to decide on being a part-owner of Vince & Eddie’s, a plush restaurant located at the Upper West side in Manhattan.

Catering to mostly high end customers, Vince & Eddie’s serve delectable New American cuisine. Lady Gaga is very ecstatic with this new venture and she revealed: “I am thrilled on making menu suggestions. Some dishes may have to display some Lady Gaga touch to it.”

Actually, it was her folks who first became shareholders of the said establishment in 1989. Now, Lady Gaga is taking over their participation in it, though as “silent partner” because she’s busy with her music career. But, how serious is Lady Gaga about this new venture? She said: “I am considering restaurant business as a career fallback now. It’s definitely on my list.”

Lady Gaga fans who might want to catch her can head over to Vince & Eddie’s because she comes here often to “taste test” their hearty meals. Her mom Cynthia Germanotta shared the tip – the 24 year old pop diva comes to the place during her free time.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga is proud to announce that her “Born This Way” album is nearing consummation. She had announced through her official Twitter account that the project is “almost perfect”. Although Lady Gaga is on tour in Europe until Christmas, she is still fervently working on her album’s release next year. We’re guessing fans are already on the lookout for the new edgy songs Lady Gaga has in store for them.

MTV Europe Music Awards love Lady GaGa and Justin Bieber

Europe loves Lady GaGa, Katy Perry and even Justin Bieber!

Lady Gaga once again ruled the music awards. In the recently concluded MTV Europe Awards, the one and the only Lady Gaga has once again picked up the top European awards, along with Katy Perry and Canadian teen idol Justin Bieber.

The US monster queen received her awards for best female artist, best pop act and best song for “Bad Romance.” She received her awards from a stage in the Hungarian capital Budapest where she performed with a jam-packed concert-like audience.

Upon receiving her awards, Lady Gaga expressed, “This means so much to me – Europe I love you.” And as what everyone expected, Lady Gaga switched get-ups from a giant-shouldered purple jacket with spangled shades, to a leopard-skin bodice. Her last outfit was a see-thru nurse outfit which her fans were really amused upon witnessing.

The Canadian teen idol Justin Bieber received his award as best male act at the awards ceremony, which was voted by 46 million people who was hosted live by Eva Longoria of “The Desperate Housewives.” Bieber revealed, “It’s a big achievement for me. All the other artists in this category are such an inspiration.” Eminem and Kanye West are some of Bieber’s biggest rival in the category.

Katy Perry, who was nominated five times like Lady Gaga, received the best video award for “California Girls.”

A special award was given to Shakira, the “Free Your Mind Award,” for having social responsibility in campaigning for education for disadvantaged children through using the proceeds of her “Waka Waka” World Cup anthem.

There’s a new champ who emerged victorious as UFC 121 results came in. Challenger Cain Velasquez subdued heavyweight powerhouse Brock Lesnar in a grueling UFC 121 match-up that’s bound for sports history books.

Velasquez notched the title as the first ever Mexican heavyweight champion as he managed to TKO Brock Lesnar in the first round of their UFC 121 fight. Velasquez took advantage of the “tired” Brock Lesnar and the referee put the fight to a halt at the clock reading at 4:12 – where Lesnar became “bloodied”. No doubt, it was Velasquez who dominated the round so he brings home the bacon!

Congrats Cain Velasquez on your great feat in UFC 121! Let’s move on to another type of supremacy – in Youtube!

Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber is on a tight battle with Poker Face singer Lady GaGa! They are both vying for the “one billion views” slot on their videos in the hosting site YouTube. So are you team GaGa of team Bieber?

According to the latest Billboard statistics, Lady GaGa will be able to reach her one million mark last October 20 – if her fans will continue to with their 1.8 million views per day, Justin Bieber has to work double time so he can beat Lady GaGa – according to the report, he’s about to reach his one billion mark by November 1, that’s if his fans continue with their 3.7 million views per day.

Bieber’s “Baby” single has the most viewed clip tag on YouTube, with around 345 million views as of the moment and Lady GaGa’s Bad Romance is on the second place with 288 million hits. Who do you think will win this race? I don’t think Bieber would mind losing in that game, according to the recent reports, Justin Bieber is the world’s highest-earning teenage singer! In 2009 Justin earned a whopping $300,000 for his “One Time” single! WOW! He earns more than 3 times more than Selena Gomez! No wonder girls are going crazy over him, a rich and very talented kid.

No less than Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour tagged the ‘Bad Romance’ songstress “a childish diva”. This quote can be found in Maureen Callahan’s unauthorized biography of Lady GaGa entitled Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga.

Anna Wintour and Lady GaGa met during the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala in May 2010. The singer who was tasked to perform got into a diva attitude when she locked herself up in the dressing room for an hour. Then, after performing late, Lady GaGa allegedly had outrageous demands to Anna Wintour, which then the Vogue editor did not budge on these last minute requests.

Not tiring to be a fashion icon, Lady Gaga has been criticized during her Vogue pictorial for front cover of the said magazine. The eight time winner of the MTV Video Music Awards 2010 has again criticized for the same reason on Vogue magazine – wearing a meat dress.

What does Lady Gaga want to express with her wearing a meat dress?
A lot are suggesting that the pop star wore the meat dress because she wants more attention from the media. Who could want more attention when she’s got all the attention by winning eight out of eleven awards she’s nominated in? Lady Gaga explains that “the dress was open to many interpretations.”

When the pop star appeared on the VMAs wearing the meat dress, a lot of people from the music industry, media and fans were intrigued by her newest fashion.

Speculations range from being a form of art, latest fashion (for Lady Gaga of course), an attention-grabbing act, a defiance of a feminine gesture, anti-fashion to provoking animal rights group to do their job appropriately. But, the last is said to be insanely false.

According to Andrew Groves, Lady Gaga’s meat dress is a form of commentary to the fashion world. Groves explained, “It’s anti-fashion. What she’s doing is quite subversive – it’s a commentary on the fashion and the music industries and I think it’s very clever. What Lady Gaga is really saying is: ‘I’m above all this, but I’ll accept your award.’”

Maybe Lady Gaga just wanted to wear the meat dress because she only wants to wear it. No reason at all. Gaga once said, “I’m just trying to change the world, one sequin at a time.” Maybe we should read between her lines.

This is definitely a lucky year for Lady GaGa! She has grabbed tons of nominations for the 2010 MTV Video Music awards! When I meant tons that’s more than 5! She has set a new record for the most nominations in a single year and she was the first female artist who was nominated for two different video clips!

Last Tuesday, the official list of nominees were released and she got the following nominations: Best Collaboration with Beyoncé for the Video Phone hit, Best Female Video, Best Dance Music Video, Video of The Year, Best Art Direction, Best Choreography, Best Cinematography, Best Direction, Best Editing, and Best Pop Video for Bad Romance. Her single ‘Bad Romance’ has brought her luck this year. Love life? Lady Gaga got Luc Carl back and she got a very great career what more can she ask for? Fans can now start voting for their faves, they can watch the awarding on September 12 at 9:00 PM.

I say Lady GaGa fans who got their tickets for her Phoenix gig are also lucky! She has decided not to cancel her concert after she was asked by other musicians to boycott the state regarding their new immigration law. The SB 1070 legislation gives police officers the right to arrest anyone they think is an illegal immigrant. “I will not cancel my show, I will yell and I will scream louder and I will hold you, and we will hold each other, and we will protest this state,” GaGa said. It is amazing she used her concert to voice her opposition to the 1070 legislation.

Not just outdoing fashion icons, Lady GaGa seems bent on being a political icon too as she is pushing on her stand towards the controversial Arizona Immigration Law.

In fact, when she did the sold-out Monster Ball concert tour in Phoenix last weekend, the Bad Romance singer expressed her disdain over the enactment of a racially-imbalanced SB 1070 that is teetering on racial profiling and discrimination.

In exact words, these were what Lady GaGa said: “We have to be active. We have to protest. . . . I will yell and I will scream louder… I will hold you, and we will hold each other, and we will peaceably protest this state.”

A lot of performers like Maroon 5 have canceled their concerts in Arizona in order to show their utter dismay over the biased immigration law. Lady GaGa voiced out that performers are out to boycott Arizona – Lady GaGa said she did not follow this strategy because she wants to speak with citizens in Arizona herself. Way to go, GaGa! It is always refreshing to see that celebrities like you are taking a stand on political issues!

A California make-up artist found herself a new job!

After uploading a video on YouTube, cosmetic giant Lancôme offered Michelle Phan a new job as a beauty representative. Michelle Phan uploaded a step by step demo on how to achieve the Lady GaGa look in her Bad Romance music video. Below is the video of Michelle Phan doing the Lady GaGa makeup in ‘Bad Romance’:

Phan also used a couple of fake eye lashes, creamy white eyeliner and a Lancôme liquid eye liner. For all of you who don’t know Michelle Phan, she is the number one beauty stylist on YouTube. She even gave tips on how to use the proper make-up tools, “eyeliners can really help make a woman’s eye more accentuated then a red lipstick can make you much sexier.” The video had almost 10 million clicks. Good work, Michelle!

Decca Records will have another talent added to their list of famous singers! They confirmed that a group of Benedictine Nuns – The Abbaye de Notre Dame de l’Annonciation of Avignon will join Eminem, Amy Winehouse, U2, Lady Gaga and The Rolling Stones as their recording artists. Wow! Since when did nuns have their own music albums? Their new album (I meant the nuns) will feature ancient style Gregorian Chants and is entitled “Voices – Chant from Avignon”. This is set to be released on November.

Lady Gaga Braved Rain, Pizza Lovin’ at Today Show

After her disgruntling performance at the Madison Square Garden the other day, Lady Gaga is back in her fifth element. She didn’t let the rain conquer her concert at the New York City’s iconic Rockefeller Plaza on the Today Show.

Almost 18,000 people showed up at the plaza – babies, kids, moms, dads, teens and even boys went to watch her concert. Lady GaGa is surely a phenomenal hit! She started her concert by singing Someone To Watch Over Me with a bit of jazzy touch added on the beginning then she sang Bad Romance again with a bit of a jazz feeling. It was a nice rendition!

You know what else is nice? Lady GaGa sent pizza’s to her fans who were waiting her concert, okay say it was her PR team’s plan but still sending tons of pizza boxes to your fans is something special. It makes me wish I was there, cheering with the crowd as she sings her jazzy version of Bad Romance. Of course her out of this world outfits wouldn’t be absent in her concert. She wore a white bra and a white blazer with silver sequins and white pants. After her performance, she was interviewed by Today’s Ann Curry and Meredith Viera, she “begged the angels to stop crying, it’s a beautiful day.” LMAO! When asked about her new album, to be particular her new song ‘You and I’.

Lady GaGa informed that the special song “was written about the most important person I’ve ever met,” her ex boyfriend? Again she talked about “the most important person” in her life. After her interview she sang Alejandro with a matching black outfit, bra and blazer again. I wonder why she doesn’t wear shirts. LOL. Way to go, Lady GaGa -keep it rolling!

Celine Dion Twin Baby Boys, Lady Gaga ‘Bad Romance’ Rekindled

Celine Dion confirmed that her babies are going to be boys. The 42-year old Celine was happy to have twins and both are boys. A message on the singers website tells:

“Celine and Rene Expecting Twin Boys!,”

Celine shared about the toll that her pregnancy was taking on her, she said in French Language Newspaper:

“I feel like I’ve been pregnant more than a year. I never gave up. But I can tell you that it was physically and emotionally exhausting.”

Celine told Access Hollywood last December she and her husband struggles to conceive and last May she announce that she was pregnant and is having twins.

We are very happy for you Celine, hope you have a healthy pregnancy.

Lady Gaga is dating her ex-boyfriend Luc Carl again according to People, the ‘Bad Romance’ seems to become ‘love is sweeter the second time around’.

A source told the magazine:

“Gaga’s first album is entirely about their relationship and her latest song, ‘You and I,’ is about how they got back together. They’ve been in love for a while.”

Lady Gaga and Luc split a few years ago and began dating again a few weeks ago. Reps of Gaga has no comment about their relationship when contacted by People.

We would surely know sooner as paparazzi can get a snap of the two together.

Lady GaGa is not only a pop music icon but she’s a trendsetter. And, Lady GaGa’s creating a new trend again or should I say new “sickness”.

Teens are going GaGa over the contact lenses she wore on her ‘Bad Romance’ music video. The contact lenses were called Circle Lenses – also known as big eye contact lens. These contact lenses makes the eye’s iris look bigger, these are currently used in South Korea and other Asian countries. BUT there are side effects, if one of your children is using this contact lens they should be stopped right away.

This fashion trend is very risky and causes the so called Lady GaGa Blindness… what then is the Lady GaGa Blindness??? The Circle Lenses cover not just the pupils but also portions of our white eyes, normally contact lenses are just for the pupils of our eyes. Why then are teens going gaga over these lenses? Simply because the wearer of these lenses gives them the illusion that they’re in a colorful land and not just that, these lenses are also being sold illegally in the United States and are being transported illegally.

Parents are advised to keep their teens away from these lenses, as they can be bought online for a very cheap price. Campuses all around the US are being filled with students wearing this said lens.

According to an optometrist, a teen wearing this kind of lens without professional care can harm their eyes in every way that they can think of. One must consult an optometrist before wearing this said contact lens, as poor fitted lens can lead to serious problems like eye scratching, eye infection, oxygen deprivation and in worst cases blindness. The FDA appeals to all teens and parents to stop patronizing this product.

I think Lady GaGa should make an appeal to the teens regarding this said lens. I know teens today admire her so much, to the point that they would risk their health just to show their faithfulness to her trends. But please Lady GaGa, if you care for your fans, please discourage them from using this lenses
