Job offers pour in for James Franco, Mila & Natalie thrilled for his Oscar gig

James Franco snags another TV job offer for ‘General Hospital’ next year.

Just a week after being tapped for the prestigious Oscar hosting job with Anne Hathaway, James Franco will also be joining the ABC medical drama “General Hospital’, in which he will take on again his serial killer role up his sleeves in March 2011.

This is definitely good news after reports say that the hosts for the 83rd Annual Academy Awards are being given to Anne Hathaway and James Franco last week. However, this report never reached the doorsteps of Franco’s two co-stars – Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis.

During the red carpet premiere of the film “Black Swan” in New York, the film that stars Portman, Franco and Kunis, the lead star Portman was interviewed and asked what she thought about the invitation sent to Franco being one of the hosts for the upcoming Academy Awards. Portman shared, “I didn’t hear about that! That’s awesome. That’s really cool.”

Mila Kunis, who also starred with the Franco and Portman, revealed that she first-hand heard it on the premiere of “Black Swan.” Kunis exclaimed, “What? That’s awesome! I think they’re going to do a great job.”

Portman and Kunis will probably be on the Academy Awards as “Black Swan” is preferably be nominated in the awards. Most probably, the film will be nominated for Best Actress, Best Picture and Best Supporting Actress.

While everybody is excited to watch the “Black Swan,” everybody’s also anticipating for more fun at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards.

Anne Hathaway and Matthew Goode in new Superman film?

A new Superman film is in the offing (again!) and it’s casting Anne Hathaway as Lois Lane!

Move over Kate Bosworth, Anne Hathaway is said to be taking in the role of Lois Lane in the next Superman film to be megged by Zack Snyder. Although there’s no official press release yet, some news sources are pinpointing that the 28 year old Devil Wears Prada actress is the number one choice as Lois Lane.

Although some spin doctors are thinking that Anne might be a tad bit older to play the damsel-in-distress shtick – if the older Lois Lane worked for Teri Hatcher before on TV, then Anne Hathaway might just pull this off.

The new Superman storyline is reportedly angling on his Clark Kent persona before he realizes that he is the Man of Steel. For the Superman role, it is rumored that Matthew Goode is running in front of John Krasinski to cop the major role.

Selena Gomez has a Shakira dream?

The young Disney singer actress wants to bump-and-grind like the Colombian songstress Shakira. Not exactly peeps! It’s just that the 18 year old star wanted to have an all-Spanish album like her idol. Selena thinks that if she did an album with every song in Spanish, she would make her family proud.

Last month, the Wizards of Waverly Place Star Selena Gomez became busy enjoying Europe – particularly London. She was seen visiting the London Eye after her she wrapped up her tour for her new album A Year Without Rain.

Afterwards, she was seen visiting some fans and taking pictures with them, there are rumors that Selena might extend a few more days because her favorite singer Sheryl Crow has asked her to perform on X-Factor – where she’s a judge. She just finished filming her upcoming movie with Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy – Monte Carlo.

Anne Hathaway thinks being so skinny is not cool.

Arriving in the red carpet screening in New York for her latest film Love and Other Drugs, is actress Anne Hathaway wearing a white pinafore dress. The actress looked very radiant as she walks down the red carpet, and completely confident and comfortable under her own skin.

Hathaway arrived with her co-actor Jake Gyllenhaal in their New York film screening. When she was commented that she has lost some weight, she shared that she often felt the pressure of dieting for her body image. She even got the thought of having her looks to be surgically enhanced.

The actress was first noticed in Hollywood when she had her character in The Princess Diaries. The world noticed her beauty and skills, but she admitted that she had taken long years before accepting the way she looks. The actress confessed, “My identity used to be shaped on my appearance so much.” She further added, “I don’t think I was shallow. I just think I was young.”

She emphasizes that she’s now focusing on other things a lot more. She shared, “I’ve hit the point in my life where I understand that being skinny is not sustainable, and nor is it advisable, and nor is it enjoyable.”

Hathaway also revealed that she was offered to do Botox and other beauty enhancements, but refused all of them because she doesn’t want to “erase” her personality. She further shared that even though her looks are not so high-profile as other actresses are, she definitely enjoys who she really is.

Who are the most profitable Hollywood actor and actress for the year? The Best Bangs for the Buck in Hollywood was named by Forbes magazine! It is with pride and honor that we present Anne Hathaway and Transformers star Shia LaBeouf for making the studios get the most value for the money they spent doing movies with them.

Most notable is Shia LaBeouf as it is his THIRD straight year to be the top dog in the list – he paid $81 for every dollar the studios paid him. Of course, that won’t be possible if his movies did not do well in the tills. His Transformers sequel earned $833 million at the box office! WOW! Well, his role was hard – he needs to do a lot of stunts, etc. so I guess it’s worth it.

Anne Hathaway, on the other hand, placed second after returning $64 for every dollar she gets and she owes that to Alice in Wonderland and Bride Wars, she did a really good job on being a bridezilla. Disney’s idea to make a 3D version of Alice in Wonderland is so brilliant they earned a billion at the global box office!

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe got the third spot after returning $61 for every dollar he gets. You might wonder: who got the lowest spot? It’s none other than American comedian Will Ferrell – he returned $3.29 for every dollar he got paid. All we can say is that better luck next movie, Will!

Johnny Depp Prides New Take on Alice in Wonderland

Johnny Depp feels lofty as he got the role of Mad Hatter in the new version of the film ‘Alice in Wonderland’. In fact, he’s proud to say that a ‘completely new’ take on the classic story was made to give fans the thrill of seeing it in 3D. Of course, a Tim Burton touch on the storyline will be interesting enough!

Johnny, who stars in the film with Anne Hathaway and Mia Wasikowska, detailed how this classic story from Lewis Carroll will center on new twists, plots and visuals. It will also focus on a new angle that’s not entirely based on the original story.

The 34 year old ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star said that:”‘It doesn’t look like any ‘Alice in Wonderland’ that’s ever been before. It’s a completely new story – it’s Alice returning back to Wonderland.” The new film will be shown on March 5, will it receive success like ‘Avatar’?
