Role Model Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga wants to be a role model for her fans, because she feels responsible to her fans and therefore she tries not to be a ‘self-obsessed’ artist.

She said: ‘When you’re in the public eye, you’re a role model whether you want to be or not, and I want to be.’I'm not one of those self-obsessed artists who don’t care about their fans. It’s not just about the music. I look out into the O2 and there are 18,000 screaming young people and I have a responsibility to them – and you’re an idiot if you don’t know that.’

The 23-year-old singer also admits she is celibate at the moment. She thinks avoiding sex is fine especially if you do not have time to get to know the person you’re dating.

In an article on You magazine she said: ‘I’m single right now and I’ve chosen to be single because I don’t have the time to get to know anybody. So it’s ok not to have sex, it’s ok to get to know people. I’m celibate. Celibacy’s fine.’

She said to her fan site Gagadaily.com: ‘I’ve already written the first single for the new album and I promise you, that this album is the greatest of my career. It is the anthem for our generation.
