Robert Pattinson Has Dracula Blood? Matt Damon Buying a Zoo?

Well, we can say that being a vampire is in the genes of Robert Pattinson. The 24 year old British heartthrob is reportedly an ancestor of the Transylvanian mogul where the Irish author Bram Stroker based his 1897 novel “Dracula”. Yes, the family tree delineating website Ancestry.com has traced the roots of Robert Pattinson and they linked him to Vlad the Impaler (Vlad III Dracula). Wow, that’s kind of creepy and neat at the same time!

What’s more is that the ancestry of Robert Pattinson is telling us that he has a royal lineage too because he is related to Prince William and Prince Harry as distant cousins. That makes Vlad the Impaler their distant, distant uncle too! The man who was allegedly a blood-sucking vampire ruled Wallachia from 1456 to 1462. Vlad was known as the impaler because of the methods he used to punish the Ottoman enemies by drawing out all their blood. That’s kind of a nasty uncle you’ve got there, R-Patz!

Anyway, a lot of people are now eagerly awaiting for the Eclipse premiere in Los Angeles. In fact, they are camping out to see Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner in the flesh. We hope no blood will be shed in the rampage that is the Twilight premiere!

In another news, Matt Damon is reportedly interested to cop the lead role in a family movie entitled “We Bought a Zoo”.

The film, which is based on a book by British journalist Benjamin Mee, will be a true story. Benjamin inadvertently settled on an idea of buying a zoo – putting in all his life savings to it. Sadly, his wife was discovered to have a brain tumor and the zoo gave her new meaning in her life.

Cameron Crowe is directing and rewriting the script of the film. “We Bought a Zoo” is scheduled to be shown December 2011.

Well, this family film will surely be interesting to watch as Matt Damon is doing a shift in career after the action-packed Bourne series.
