Michael Douglas Looks Healthy Despite Battle with Throat Malady

Michael Douglas Bent on Winning Battle Against Throat Cancer A few weeks after being diagnosed with throat cancer, the Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps star fulfilled his duties on “The Late Show with David Letterman” last Tuesday. Michael Douglas appeared very energetic on the show, as if he’s not sick.

Michael Douglas declared that: “The time is never a good time for cancer, but particularly with a movie opening. It wasn’t the best.” LOL! It’s good to know he still has some sense of humor in him, the cancer cells have not left in a bad mood. Michael is currently going on radiation and chemotherapy to cure the cancer – he admits the treatment knocks him down and that he only tried to look happy on stage because he’s on stage.

Michael’s cancer was diagnosed as being stage four already but still he remains optimistic of the treatment and he believes that he can fight it. He said: “Percentages are very good…it looks like it should be about 80%.” After of 8 weeks of treatment he’ll be evaluated again as to what treatment would be appropriate for his condition.

Michael Douglas is thankful that his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones is always in his side as well as their children, they even went on a family vacation trip before he found out that he was sick. He just feels really bad that he won’t be able to fulfill his duties to promote his new movie. Well Michael get well soon first, Shia LaBeouf is there to promote your movie. After all, Shia is the most profitable actor of 2010 – he will be praying harder for the movie’s success in the box office plus Michael’s speedy recovery.
