iPad 2 to be released April 2011 - Justin Bieber dominates AMA 2010
Apple announced iPad 2 will be on stores by April 2011.
The Apple executives have chosen this date in concurrence with the same pattern as their releases of the iPhone and iPod products. In an interview with Computerworld, Gleacher & Co.’s Brian Marshall averred that: “Since I’m projecting that Apple will release a CDMA iPhone in March, both will help to equalize Apple’s seasonality.”
Is it really a pattern or are they just building up “thrill” among their consumers? We think this is just a marketing ploy to have techies yearning for it as the media is buzzing about it earlier than the date mentioned.
So what’s exciting about the new and improved iPad 2? It will be sleeker and thinner, they say. The resolution of the current iPad will also be enhanced and it will showcase dual camera functionality.
Justin Bieber dominates American Music Awards 2010
The teen pop sensation from Canada has dominated the 2010 American Music Awards. That is Justin Bieber. He out competed all other performers of his age and also veteran performers from the industry. The “Baby” singer won the award for artist of the year. Bieber also received the other three awards that night.
The 16-year-old pop singer admitted that the award is something great for him, considering that he’s only new in the industry. “This is big,” he shares.
Bieber, upon receiving his award revealed that he recognizes Usher as “not only my mentor, but my best friend and my big brother.” The teen pop singer also mentioned the King of Pop, “I want to thank Michael Jackson, because without Michael Jackson none of us would be here.”
During the awards night, an online poll was generated and Bieber was chosen by the fans to win the night’s top award. Bieber won the hearts of the audience over Eminem, Ke$ha, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
Bieber’s mentor Usher also received two awards, one of which was favorite male R&B artist. The R&B artist shared, “I can’t call it a comeback. I’ve been doing this for 18 years already.”
The last year’s big winner, Taylor Swift, who won five awards then, only got favorite country singer for the year. Swift shared, “I only want to thank the fans. You guys get me and you know where I’m coming from.”
