Nicole and Paula Gave their Nods to Join X Factor

Fox Television announced that the former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger will be one of the hosts on the upcoming TV singing show “The X Factor.” On the other hand, there was also official statement that the former American Idol judge Paula Abdul has signed in as the final judge for the competition.

Fox said that Scherzinger will be co-hosting the British TV presenter Steve Jones for the said TV show. But they did not mention any appearance that may be seen from Abdul.

Paula Abdul, seen as one of the judges in a lot of seasons of American Idol, quit two years ago due to contract disputes. However, it was reported that Abdul was in final talks and negotiations with Fox for her stint as judge in the US version of X Factor, along with ex co-judge Simon Cowell, British singer Cheryl Cole, and record producer Antonio Reid.

Simon Cowell expressed his delight over Paula’s great addition to American x Factor saying that his chemistry with her is invaluable and this new show will surely be interesting with her on his side.

The TV show is actually created by Cowell, known to be an English music entrepreneur. It is expected to be aired on the fall season of 2011, having a grand prize of $5 million and an additional recording contract.

Elvis is back on the making. Scotty McCreery has made its mark on the final five with the Elvis’ sentimental favorite “Always on my mind”. As always, the man with vocal cords almost like Elvis sang it with ease. Judge Jennifer Lopez said he has proven his versatility. According to Steven Tyler, it was simply beautiful.

For the second song, McCreery covered a contemporary song of Montgomery Gentry entitled “Gone.” It gave a different smash and surprise on Scotty’s personality. This time, the guy did some chugging along with locomotive energy. “I saw you dance with the devil tonight, and that’s a good thing for you,” said Steven.

Also making it to the top five was James Durbin who sang his second song, Harry Nilsson’s “Without You” with tears in his eyes. It was noted as one of the most powerful Idol performances ever- the kind which is close to breaking your heart and gives you swelling eyes as well.

“Your emotions were incredible,” said Steven. “You are a true, true artist,” said Jennifer.

Lauren Alaina also performed wonderfully with Carrie Underwood’s big showy country rocker “Flat on the Floor.” Her voice, as always, overflowed its banks of happiness. And the judges were unanimously satisfied and delighted with her performance.

Haley Reinhart made a comeback on the competition with Lady Gaga’s unreleased song “You and I.” Steven Tyler gave her an ovation with the words “Sweet and sour, raspy. I can relate to that.”

Unfortunately, Jacob, with his not-so-amazing performance bid goodbye this week. His song choice “No Air” by Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown was called “corny” by Randy. It was probably too safe for a tight competition as this.

Manny Pacquiao, the world’s top pound for pound fighter in the world, will face Sugar Shane Mosley during May 7, 2011. Shane Mosley has an illustrious career, and is indeed one of the best boxers in our generation. He boasts a knockout percentage of around 72 percent, which has dwindled down as of his recent matches. Truly, he is on the downside of his career, and he faces Manny Pacquiao as a 6 to 1 underdog among the betting public.

So why does Mosley fight somebody who is clearly going to win against him? Well, first of all, boxing is an unpredictable sport. Anything can happen in the ring, and we’ve seen larger upsets than a Mosley victory over the Pacman. Besides, Sugar Shane has several assets as well. He is taller, has a longer reach, and is basically a bigger guy than Pacquiao. For Mosley, his dream fight before retirement is a fight against Pacquiao.

Well, that is everybody’s dream fight. Anybody who lands a fight with Manny is sure to get a hell of a beating, but he’ll get a cool couple of million dollars anyway. That’s Mosley’s dream. He is out there to prove that he can still be competitive against the best boxer today, and perhaps one of the best in the history of the sport, but this is also an opportunity for him to get a lot of money before he retires.

He has mentioned that he will enter retirement after the Manny Pacquiao fight. He has made a name for himself and is already 39 years old. Manny is his last hurrah to a great boxing career.

Living separate lives can be tricky for Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. The case of the exes cannot be always mutually exclusive since they have the same friends and the same events they attend where they usually bump into each other. Zanessa fans couldn’t help but hope they get back into each other’s arms someday.

Just recently, both Disney stars made a rendezvous out of Soho House in West Hollywood. This was last week where their High School Musical co-star Ashley Tisdale threw a party to celebrate the launch of her straight-to-DVD movie Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure.

Despite their single status is in tow, Zac and Vanessa ended up willing to pose with Ashley Tisdale for photo-ops. Yet, it is quite obvious they sidestepped appearing in one photo together at the party.

There have been a lot of talk that Zac Efron is already dating a Victoria’s Secret model. Another rumor asserts that the Charlie St. Cloud star was noticed to have made a booking at a VIP section of Roxbury club in Hollywood to date a mystery lovely lady last March. This lucky girl was identified to be an underwear model named Candice Swanepoel. Another rumor emerged that she was indeed a friend of his ex Vanessa Hudgens. Oh well, his single status makes him free to date anyone at this point.

Vanessa herself is also seeking a new beau. In an interview, she described that her taste in men had a change. She’s seeking now some bad boy types, as she might have had enough of the heartthrob types – like Zac? We hope not! Vanessa Hudgens think that the baddie type might be “interesting” but she had always been on the hunt. She haven’t found one, thankfully.

Tensions Rekindled in Real Housewives of New York

Reality shows always get us the inkling of how ‘real’ can be so entertainingly absurd. The Real Housewives of New York just chucked in their maiden episode for their 4th season. It isn’t all that drag that we’re expecting but Alex McCord and Jill Zarin drama has been picked up as they rendezvous in Ramona Singer’s swan song summer party. Things get a little bit interesting, so to speak.

Alex then surmised that he believed that running barefoot was extremely cut-throat to walk into the party seeing Jill chilling out. It’s not her style to just pretend absolutely nothing ever occurred between them. Nonetheless, she became annoyed about their confrontations from the past season..Alex thought that Jill did materialize some horrible issues – not just to her but along with other individuals. There’s no reason to exhibit pretension when everyone exactly knew her holistic character that’s generally unpleasant.

On the other side of the couch, Jill Zarin mulls over that it appears absolutely nothing is more suitable that all of them to put down the hatchet and move on with their respective lives.

Jill deemed that she is Alex’s “cheerleader” and in wonderment. there is no reason to hate that much. This is what Jill announced to Kelly Bensimon. Jill is still optimistic that they are able to resolve misgivings of the past. Patching up will be a route to drive off tensions away.

Everyone still has doubts if Jill Zarin has learned her lessons. Later in the episode, Jill is again caught verbalizing her dislike for Alex. So much for the “nice and kind” mantra, huh?

There’s a lot of pizazz going on for our dear Selena Gomez this week. Aside from a fake breakup with Justin Bieber, Selena has elected a busy schedule like being a guest on Dancing With The Stars, where she sampled the audience with “Who Says”.

Everyone is also excited with her forthcoming record as she has a song composed by none other than Britney Spears. It is tentatively entitled “Whiplash”. Selena fans can’t wait for the outcome of her much-anticipated album. Will there be a collaboration with rumored boyfriend Justin Bieber?

With regards to Justin, Selena Gomez allayed rumors about their breakup – explaining that she realized with her buddies she usually ensures that business and personal issues don’t mix up. So between him and Justin, they’re just friends to begin with – no breakup happened when there’s no relationship in the first place.

The 18 year old Disney star also outlined how she needed to help keep her profession and her individual life outside of the limelight. With her career taking up this year, Selena is overwhelmed with all the prospects. In fact, she’s also got a new film coming out – Monte Carlo with Leighton Meester

There’s always something to say about Tina Fey. She’s not only the writer and comedian we’ve come to love in 30 Rock but Tina’s strength lies in her fanciful way of expressing the person that she is. Probably, we’ll get to know her better in the memoir that she’s releasing entitled Bossypants. It exposes her shenanigans as a working mom and as an executive producer of a comedy show.

As far as blessings can be twice, Tina Fey is also preggers with her second child. She’s twice as lucky, indeed. She’ll be seen with a baby bump in an episode of the Oprah Winfrey Show where she will be promoting her book. Fey is confirmed infanticipating for 5 months with her husband Jeff Richmond. Her first child is already 5 years old named Alice.

In another news, Glenn Beck is reported to be leaving FOX News. Beck has been a target for a while for his fearless opinions he voiced out – like that Obama racist rant he unleashed.

Often inviting controversies, many pundits think that it’s about time that FOX fired Glenn Beck as a daily host. Although he’s rumored not to be out of work, since he’s reportedly been given a job on the sidelines for forthcoming FOX current affairs shows.

Kanye West on mentor mode with Nicki Minaj

Kanye West can’t be all that bad as he is taking Nicki Minaj under his wing.

Rapping greenhorn Nicki Minaj looks up to Kanye West as her true-blue mentor. Despite the negative publicities that hound the 33 year old rapper, Nicki has only good words for Kanye she is comfortable asking him advice about music, career and even fashion. Nicki insists that Kanye West is a “good person” whom she has “well-rounded conversation” about things that matter to her.

Meanwhile, Kanye West was again heard ranting in front of a concert audience about his so-called haters in response to the success of his newly released album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.”

The rapper did his bizarre rants when he performed at New York’s Bowery Ballroom to promote his new album. The 33-year old rapper began his performance with a nine-minute rant. The rant started as a “triumphant speech” which evidently was about his album record sales and ended with old grumbles against Taylor Swift.

His rant started as, “I always felt like I could do anything, but now I feel so fearless.” Kanye continued, “To do an album after the after the year that I’ve had and all the ‘Your career is over. To come back and do 100, 000 the first day digital alone – what the number says is that people want me to keep making music.”

The rapper, as what was mentioned, also included the issue that happened at the VMAs with Taylor Swift. He said, “When you do things like what happened last year, it’s disrespectful to everyone as creators. If I wasn’t drunk I would have been on stage longer. Everyone wants to villainize people, what I said about George Bush, I was emotional, that was not exactly the way I wanted to word it.”

He ended with, “But I rode it, I rode it. Just as Taylor never came to my defense in any interview, and rode the wave, and rode the wave, and rode it, rode it.”

Nobody will doubt Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart as they bagged MTV’s Best Couple citation from MTV.

Twilight fans are on top of the world as Robsten gained leverage in being MTV’s Best Couple this year. Despite their real-life romance has yet to be admitted publicly, MTV didn’t hesitate to confer the award to the Twilight love team.

In another news, is Robert Pattinson making Kristen Stewart feel insecure, or is this another made up rumor?

We’ve heard of a lot of rumors between the two actors over the years, and that’s only because the two have grown exponentially popular as well. But this one seems to be over board, and it needs to be proven before the speculation gets even bigger and supersedes what the true story actually is.

It’s just that the two have been couples for some time now, although they never really admitted it in person when the evidence is all around the place. They’ve been together for so long already, and they went as far as to live in the same house during the filming of the movie Breaking Dawn, so that they will know if they are compatible with each other, after which they would seriously consider marrying.

However, the rumors stated that Kristen Stewart is a bit insecure with Robert Pattinson, and has felt that after the final leg of the shooting for Breaking Dawn, Robert Pattinson might break up with her. So what is the reason why Kristen Stewart is insecure? Well, they say that she is insecure with the fact that when Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon were shooting Water for Elephants, they were really close. Personally, we think this is just a bad rumor.

Music can be a tough business for Selena, while Crystal Bowersox promotes new album on Ellen.

Crystal Bowersox is slowly getting away from the shadow of being just a “runner-up” in American Idol. As of late, she’s been fervently promoting her album entitled “Farmer’s Daughter” and gladly she was welcomed by former AI judge Ellen DeGeneres on her show. Crystal’s album is creeping up the Billboard charts as it landed on Top 200 priding approximately 45,000 to 50,000 copies purchased.

Crystal is also getting her fans thrilled on her single’s music video that is going to official broadcast on the 3rd of January 2011. Bowersox unveiled that the video expresses the “healing cycle” she went through in the past. She confessed that it’s her story as a symbolism of a little girl who’s mom is driving her at a distance and so they stumble on life’s challenges. We’re guessing thus will be Crystal’s ticket to embark on a fulfilling music career next year.

Another music artist Selena Gomez is finding show business as a whole a tough business.

Although Selena is overcome by challenges, she admits having fun as an alternative to all the obstacles can bring out her strength to go on.

Recently, Selena is worked with Katy Perry who provided back-up vocals for the song written and composed by Selena Gomez. Perry agreed to the deal that she will also sing Gomez’s “Rock God” after the young actress-singer pleaded her managers that the some of the vocals may be done by Perry. Perry and Gomez recorded the song as a funky duet.

Perry was originally asked to do the song “Rock God” alone that will be included in the Disney’s new album; specifically Selena Gomez’s album entitled “A Year without Rain.” Later on with the process, Perry was convinced to also do back-up vocals for the song.

The young actress-singer Selena Gomez expressed, “Katy Perry gave me a song called ‘Rock God.’ It’s one of my favorite songs ever. I actually had to fight for that song. I wanted it so bad. It’s kind of funky, and I think I used her style and we kind of mixed it up with the producers that I worked with my style, so we made it a little more techno.”

Gomez further added, “I just loved her style, and she did background vocals on that as well. So I was very, very blessed on the record, because it’s so much fun, and I can’t wait to perform it.”

According to Gomez, who has formed a band named Selena Gomez and the Scene, this is a dream come true because she is really a big fan of Katy Perry.
