Ka-Bong for Miley: After Demi, is Selena next in line?

The “bong incident” hits Miley Cyrus hard, this was just after Demi Lovato had her mess-up – will Selena Gomez be next?
Disney darlings as they are, but growing up seems to be they are involved in some hiccups reminiscent of Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears. Miley Cyrus just recently had media frenzy over her bong-smoking-salvia hullabaloo. Although she’s not at all affected by the uproar around her, Miley was seen sporting her usual self in their film shoot of “So Undercover” in New Orleans.
Many sources defend Miley’s actions saying that what she did is not illegal. It’s just a matter of perception but is this just a month before her fellow Disney star Demi Lovato had her mess-up?
Lindsay Lohan herself is doing well now. But in previous months, she admitted that she failed her test as she posted messages on Twitter. According to Lohan, she is really “working hard to overcome” her problems.
In Lohan’s tweet, she stated, “Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent… test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result.”
Before this, the judge of Lohan’s case already warned the actress that she’ll probably go back to jail if she fails another test. Lohan’s case was the 2007 drunken driving obliges her to undergo several tests.
Judge Elden Fox is the judge holding Lohan’s case. She “imposed a new set of rules for her to follow until November.” These rules include “weekly counseling sessions for alcohol and drug rehab, random tests, and behavioral therapy.”
What does Lindsay have to do with Demi and Miley? Learn from your predecessor. We are fearing for you Selena Gomez. We are hoping you will be treading a different path though and maintain your good image.

This is such a BS article. Good image? Oh please. There’s no such thing as a good image. These images are about as fabricated as the lies that go along with Disney’s image. Disney never prided themselves as a “Clean wholesome family fun” company. They are a money making company. Simple as that. Fact is these ISSUES are the same issues that all teenagers have to deal with. Some deal with them in different ways, while others deal with them in a less…conventional manner.
This is all part of growing up and making mistakes. You think Selena is going to keep her clean image forever? She’s gonna do something that will be considered “normal” by teenager standards yet you guys are gonna blow it out of proportion and turn her into the next pariah. God for bid that she does something small like toss a wrapper into a recycled bin or god forbid that she actually enters herself into a “Treatment center” because she feels her life is in shambles.
And Shame on these girls for trying to figure themselves out in their lives as well as trying to find their place in this world! Gosh who do these people think they are? Are they…human?! Good lord! Don’t they know that celebrities are supposed to be machines with no human emotions and just smile all the time and act like things are all sunshines and rainbows?
You guys are disgraceful. Also in terms of Miley, it maybe “legal” however the drug she took is parallel to a drug that is considered “illeagal”. But god forbid people like Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato make mistakes in their lives.

It isn’t fair to compare any one of these girls to one another. They each are individuals and they have their own personal lives and struggles. And they all have very different lives and come from different places in every situation. Sometimes people are able to cope with the stress of the struggles they face, and other times it’s harder. But regardless, in whatever way they deal with the struggles they are facing, in time, they will all do it in their own, best way for them personally. People always forget that these kids are or were teenagers..and just because they are celebrities does not mean they are perfect or are excempt from making mistakes. It is very hard because while they are dealing with any personal troubles, they are dealing with it in the public eye. Give Miley, Demi, and any celebrity a break and give them a chance to live their life the way they healthy and happily can.

It’s pretty unlikely that you are going to see Selena Gomez acting like a normal teenager any time soon because she’s not one. She’s a Christian fundamentalist who’s wound up so tight that, at 18-years old, I doubt that she’s experienced any of the normal experiments that other teens her age consider rights of passage. And calling these normal rights of passage “mistakes” is a mistake. It’s not a mistake to experience life, to try out drugs, to have normal sex lives, and to party. Far from being a mistake, all of that is essential to growing up. In Demi’s case, her representatives have revealed that she is suffering from severe mental and emotional problems that needed in-patient professional treatment. Since when is mental illness a mistake? It’s a disease, not a mistake. And since when do we blame mental illnesses on the victim of the disease? Despite the fact that all three young women come from the South and had teen careers with the Walt Disney Company, they are very different people. Miley is just growing up normally and trying out what normal healthy teens try as they grow up. Demi is suffering from a mental illness and only a subhuman would try to blame a disease on the victim. And Selena, she’s a late bloomer and a bit immature for her age, but hopefully she’ll get away from the Christian cult her parents have her in and start to catch up in her emotional development. Maybe Miley could give her a hand.

It’s not fair to say that about any of them. Miley is one of the only celebs out there who obviously doesn’t care about what other people think. She simply pursues her acting and singing career while living her own life. In most of these incidents, she just being dumm by letting people film her. Maybe she needs better friends, but besides that, nothings wrong here.
Demi is an amazing model for teens around the world. She has an awe inspiring voice and writes her songs from her heart. Sadly, she was bullied when she was little, and that scarred her. Emotional strain caused her to put herself into rehab. She teaches girls that if u know their something wrong, its important to take action right away, which is wat she did.
Why does the title talk about selena? She’s done nothing yet. Her career is just taking off, and it seems like she is starting on the rt foot.
And Lindsay… well, not much to say about her. Her career started great, but she decided to do drugs to solve her problems, and now she is where she is at now.

Good image? Oh please, it’s people like you, Rachelle Yap, who demand these young kids to be the perfect person to which NO ONE can actually live up to. That’s why they feel so pressured and lose their ways. These kids are famous, yes, but they’re just kids. So don’t expect them to be perfect, because even YOU can’t. BS blogger…

I’m very diassapointed with most of these comments. Partying at such a young age, gearing toward drugs, sleeping around, that will never give these girls happiness, it will only confuse them even more. Exploring their sexuality? It’s more like being exploited for their sexuality! It is not necesary to grow up, I can’t even believe that was said. But obviously, we have very different viewmpoints about what brings an individual joy. Of course these girls are allowed to make mistakes, but with having seen them grow up, we feel a kinship for them, we want them to be happy, and seeing them start to fly off the handle dissapoints us as we know this is not what will bring them real satisfaciton in life. Chris, I feel an obvious bitterness from you against Christianity or any sort of lifestyle which promotes values. For that, I am truly sorry.
This is not Disney which has done this to them, it’s the entertainment industry as a whole. Even in working in a “clean” industry, these girls are still exploited for their sexuality and appearance, and are forcefed lies about materialism and wealth. While we have made signifant gains in women’s rights, there are still huge barriers which we need to overcome. I actually applaud Lovato for seeking help as she knows she is surrounded by influences which seek nothing but to raise her up….only so they can tear her down. We cannot underestimate how hard it is to come of age while being surrounded by negative forces. And I hope that Gomez musters enough will power to stay strong and empowered, as she clearly is more so than the other girls. I disagree with the maturity comment, from my observations she knows exactly what she is doing. I see in her a strong, and intelligent young woman who knows how to promote her career. She is obviously not as innocent as the image Disney promotes, but she still posesses the drive and confidence to refrain from acting out. Cyrus….well, it’s obvious that she is already headed in a downward spiral, but perhaps that is what’s necesary in her case to wake up. I can’t really blame her, she’s been left spoiled, and unchecked, and now as she reaches adulthood she lacks a stable family. I wish the best for her, even if she has to hit rock bottom in order to pick herself back up.

Miley or whatnot aside, just regarding this statement. Please do NOT equate Christianity or any other religion to “having values”. Not believing in a religion doesn’t mean the person will go on a killing spree.
An individual can be morally upright with or without religion. Keep that in mind.
Being a Christian or a Muslim or a Buddhist doesn’t automatically mean you have values, it all depends on the person’s actions. Without action, religion is nothing but a mere set of rules.

I agree with Melissa, these girls are just being exploited 2 make money. I think Demi did the right thing in seeking help, because that just shows that she knew she needed help. As 4 Cyrus, well I wish her luck, ’cause it looks like she is going 2 hit rock bottom soon, but that just part of life I mean we all make mistakes; as 4 Gomez, I hope she has a great family that will keep her from falling. Demi, I hope u get better soon so u can keep writing songs and inspiring us.

um the good girl might be fake but there are some peole who are good role models and there should be a happy medium between good and slutty. Unfortunately teens do want to do what their fave stars are doing. Now here is where parents also come in and give guidance. I really hope Selena is placing a call to people like Hilary and Raven who have experience and made it through good. I think Selena was friends with Demi too and didn’t want that lifestyle.
Demi’s people are lying. There was always rumors she did drugs, was a partier.
