Alanis Morissette and Rapper Boyfriend Ties the Knot in Los Angeles

Grammy Award winning Canadian Singer Alanis Morissette ties the knot with her rapper boyfriend MC Souleye whose real name is Mario Treadway. Alanis posted a statement on hew website announcing their marriage, she said; “Hi guys! So happy to share with you that my man Souleye and I got married. We’re very excited to embark on this journey with each other … sending love … connect soon xo,”

The two wed in an intimate secret ceremony in their Los Angeles home last May 22, a week before Alanis’ 36th birthday. Only a few close friend and family members were at the ceremony. According to sources, the wedding ceremony was said to be extremely emotional. A representative of Alanis has confirmed to People magazine that the two had really tied the knot. The two started dating on October 2009.

Rumors say that the two got married because Alanis has a bump in her tummy. She appeared in the premiere of Prince of Persia wearing a black loose gown.

Alanis was previously dating David Coulier and actor Ryan Reynolds. Reynolds and Morisette got engaged but decided to part ways in 2006. Reynolds is now married to actress Scarlett Johansson. Alanis also dated environmental lawyer Tom Balance from 2007 until she met MC Souleye in 2009.
