The catch is that you must be signed up for the Sony Rewards program and have your PlayStation Network account linked to it before earning the trophies.

In its early stages, 1,000 points equates to a $10 discount voucher for the PS Store, but is now restricted to the United States for the time being.

Don't forget to link your account through the Sony Rewards website to get started, and go through the terms & conditions. According to the rewards site, you can earn 100 points for 100 silver trophies, 250 points for 25 gold trophies and 1,000 points for 10 platinum trophies.

With all that said, there's no timetable as to when Xbox would begin to implement a feature like this or even if they will.
