Reportedly Facebook had been testing a new feature that appeared for Portugal users last month.

Meanwhile, Instagram Stories has garnered over 250 million monthly active users and the application has almost 700 million users globally.

After testing in Portugal last month, the option to syndicate Instagram Stories to Facebook Stories has now also appeared for US users.

Facebook and Instagram have tied their platforms closer together, in a setup that will satisfy heavy social media sharers.

Users can add a poll when adding a picture to their Instagram "story", and can see what their followers choose. Facebook has confirmed that Instagram users can show share their Stories directly on Facebook easily.

"You now have the option to share your Instagram Stories to your Facebook Stories". Well, this is also one of the reasons for Facebook to allow direct posting of Instagram Stories on Facebook Stories.

All-Star Game rosters and captains will be announced on January 18 while the reserves will be unveiled five days later. Coaches will select the reserves - two guards, three frontcourt players and two players from any position.

To make use of the new feature, first look for the "Poll Sticker", select it, and put it wherever you want it.

Initially, users could only share to friends or groups of friends.

Instagram Stories has garnered over 250 million monthly active users and the application has almost 700 million users globally.

We knew the feature was in the works in early September, but now TechCrunch says it's official and just a matter of rolling it out to all users.

Critics have largely called it a failure, and user ship has been so low that in April the company began displaying grayed-out icons in the Stories section of the app to make it seem less empty.

Critics are saying the same about the move to cross post Instagram Stories to Facebook.
