She said her daughter did not move, eat, drink or use the restroom in the two days it took for them to drive from Florida to West Virginia.

According to WIVB, Newsome has been arrested and charged with concealing the body of her daughter, Kaye-lea Plummer.

A Florida woman was arrested after a pair of NY motorists traveling through West Virginia spotted her pulling the body of a child out of her crashed vehicle and then dragging it into the woods. "Something pushed her over the edge and she snapped".

According to authorities, Newsome told police that she had killed her daughter and was abusive to her.

Newsome said she was having problems with her vehicle and did not want to travel on interstates, which is how she ended up in Thornwood, Barlow said.

He said they married in 2007 and separated two years later.

She shared that the child's father lived in Buffalo, New York and that's where she was driving toward.

Police in West Virginia say the body was that of her 11 year old daughter.

Kaye-lea's father, Donath Plummer, told News 4 that Newsome randomly texted him Saturday, telling him she'd be dropping the girl off the next day. He said he hadn't seen them since Newsome moved with Kaye-lea to Jacksonville in 2014, but he would check on his daughter regularly by phone.

Officials said detectives from the Jacksonville, Florida Sheriff's Department and the West Virginia State Police Department-Marlinton Detachment will investigate the vehicle accident and Kaye-lea Plummer's death. "There is no confirmation on a cause of death, but foul play is suspected and more arrests could be forthcoming in Florida".

"They just said she was found at the scene of an accident, but they don't believe my daughter died there", Plummer said.

"We didn't always agree on everything, but she was a great mother". "Something is very, very wrong".

Plummer said that when he found out about what happened he was at work.

The body of the deceased child was discovered Sunday after a auto wreck on a remote stretch of U.S. Route 250 in Pocahontas County just over a mile from the Virginia border.
