Inter Milan have offered the Croatia winger a new contract - and issued a hands-off warning to the Old Trafford giants.

Meanwhile, Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has claimed they have now entered talks about extending Perisic's contract at the San Siro which will further scupper United's hopes of signing the player.

The 23-year-old centre-back is expected to join Eric Bailly as the Red Devils' regular defensive combination after completing his £31 million move from Benfica, but Mourinho is looking to ease him in slowly as he adjusts to the new league. (Antonio) Candreva has never been on the market and we have absolutely no intention of selling him.

Inter have agreed terms with Dalbert and his club Nice, and Ausilio told Mediaset all that remained was for a deal to be signed.

The Manchester United boss had been trying to thrash out a £45million deal.

The Inter player has been in sparkling form to continue his impressive form of last season.

Foxconn could triple $10bn investment in USA facilities, according to Trump
The headline of this story has been corrected to reflect that Trump referenced a $30 billion investment, not $3 billion. Foxconn has said it intends to build a campus with 20 million square feet of office space over 1.56 square miles.

"The same goes for Perisic, who is an important player and we are now discussing a new contract with him".

Jose Mourinho added to the club's rich history of silverware last season by collecting the EFL Cup and Europa League but United limped to a disappointing sixth-place finish in the top flight.

"That makes it interesting as well because if you look at the other teams as well, they're all bringing good players in because they all want to win the league or do well in the Champions League".

Chelsea have been linked with Candreva but the Italian would only leave if a replacement is found.

"We intend to keep Candreva". [Romelu] Lukaku, Martial, [Marcus] Rashford - they are all different players and we need everybody.
