See what he had to say in the video above!

The Voice coach explained how she wrote "Malibu" over a year ago and it was "crazy that everyone's finally going to hear it". A few seconds into the clip, you'll find Miley happier than ever dancing around the beach in multiple white flowing dresses and bikinis. The new Miley wants bigots to listen to her, sounds not unlike a Fox correspondent, and believes we can love our way out of this. EDM-influenced sounds still dominate much of what audiences seem to demand from radio, as does hip-hop, but if anyone can make such a stark change and get away with it a star at Cyrus' level would be the one to do it. She told the publication misogynistic and materialistic lyrics forced her to reconsider her relationship with the genre.

"As a dad, I see Miley really just functioning on, like, a figure and a joy for life", the "Achy Breaky Heart" singer, 55, told Entertainment Tonight's Nancy O'Dell on Wednesday, May 10.

Maybe it was a late rebellious teenage phase or, maybe, Miley has a mind of herself and mainstream is just not her thing, who knows? "I am so not that". She shares the writer credit with Oren Yoel, who produced the song. Miley "can't be tamed" and she wouldn't do anything that she wouldn't wish to. "Whatever is going on, it's working for her", he said.

Miley's apology tour didn't stop there. She has beautifully penned down this song that's an ode to her fiance. Miley claimed that she's simply moved on and is now listening to more "uplifting, conscious rap". "So why not put the power back in my relationship and say, "This is how I feel".

She hasn't said anything more about the topic. In the meantime, look out for Cyrus singing "Malibu" at the Billboard Music Awards on May 21 (broadcast live from Las Vegas on ABC at 8 p.m.).

'You should always be changing, you should always be growing up, you should always be evolving, ' she replied.

In honor of this week's exciting release of single "Malibu"-a mature, ballad-inspired track that's a far cry from 2013's club hit-heavy Bangerz-after a long musical hiatus, Miley Cyrus is fittingly throwing it back to where it all started".
