Half-billion Windows 10 devices, but PC slump stunts growth

The new Microsoft Graph also powers a new universal, cloud-backed clipboard functionality that will launch with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update and that allows you to easily access your clips on multiple devices.

The feature requires Cortana, Microsoft's digital assistant app, to run on each device.

It's possible Apple is converting iTunes so it can continue to attract student users who may now be forced to source their downloads from the Windows Store. iTunes won't be able to singlehandedly change the fortunes of the Windows Store but it could go some way to encouraging users to give it a try. Both those companies have helped undercut the popularity of PCs running on Windows. OneNote 2016 is indeed coming, but Microsoft made it clear that the UWP app is the future of the app, and that that's the one that the company uses internally.

An early preview of Microsoft's new database migration services, which will allow Oracle and SQL Server customers to more easily move their data and quickly modernize their apps. Other manufacturers will offer the new device, too. Today, it revealed Apple is working on bringing iTunes to the store, officially converting its desktop app and giving it a store listing.
