In a statement, the EC said: "Very simply put, any "lookalike" machine is just a different gadget, which is manifestly designed and made to function in a "tampered" manner and has no relevance, incidence or be-aring on the commission's EVMs".

"We have submitted a complaint to the Election Commission about wrong information provided by the AAP with regard to funds its received, and sought derecognition of the party".
Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati had also claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) resounding victory in Uttar Pradesh was gained by tampering with EVMs. The saffron party's Delhi unit chief Manoj Tiwari, at a press conference here, alleged that there were "gross discrepancies" in the figures of donation amount shown by the AAP in its affidavits, party website, and what it has declared to the EC.
Mishra, who was suspended from AAP's primary membership yesterday, mocked the exercise, saying the party should stop living in "denial" mode and accept the fact that people do not vote for Kejriwal anymore.

Responding to the Election Commission's dismissal of the EVMs being tampered, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said the former should hereafter provide their own EVMs.
"What they used is a prototype of an EVM, how can they say they have hacked an EVM", said an official from the Election Commission.
The Election Commission has time and again rubbished allegations that EVMs can be programmed to favour any particular party. This can be done by changing motherboard of the the EVM.
Sacked Delhi water minister Kapil Mishra spoke against his party on the EVM tampering issue, accusing Kejriwal of adopting this tactic to shift the people's attention from the corruption charges levelled against him.
Though the light flashes against the button which is pressed by the voter, the vote may not necessarily go to that party, said Bhardwaj.
He said in his tweet that by raising these issues Kejriwal was trying to divert public attention from both governance-failure and corruption.
