Two people were killed and a third was injured after a shooting at an Arlington sports bar Wednesday evening, police say.

Arlington Police investigate the scene at the Zona Caliente Sports Bar & Grill on South Cooper Arlington, Tex., on May 3, 2017.

Police Lt. Christopher Cook says a customer who was carrying a handgun under the Texas concealed handgun license program then fatally shot Jones. Perez was a manager at the restaurant, and Jones has been identified as the first shooter. The pair began to argue.

Authorities believe that after witnessing the shooting, a customer armed with a handgun fired upon the gunman, fatally wounding him.

Witnesses said Jones yelled at Perez before killing him, but it has yet to be confirmed if the two previously knew each other or what Jones' motives were.

"There was some type of altercation, things being said, and this man pulled out a gun and shot the employee and killed the employee", Cook said.

"He made the decision to engage the shooter, fearing there would be other loss of life", Cook said.

There were about 20 people in the bar at the time, and they were being interviewed by detectives.
