Walker's signature moment came in FSU's 20-19 win over in-state rival Miami at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla.
Walker, 22, also had 9.0 sacks as a junior so he's not a fluke. Denver boasts Pro Bowl receivers Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, but it doesn't have a clear No. 3 receiver, especially one who can play in the slot.
The Broncos filled arguably their three biggest needs with their first four picks - left tackle, defensive line and offensive playmaker/returners. Thrilled that I lost that bet.
The Broncos weren't the only ones excited about picking up the turn-around young man, though, "I told Garett that night before that God is gonna' put you where you need to be ..." He's obviously been very productive at Florida State.
Henderson, who played running back in high school and became a star receiver at Tech, was the No. 82 player selected overall and the 18th player in the round. His blazing speed helped him become not only the offensive but also the special teams player of the year in Conference USA, with 805 kickoff return yards and two scores on special teams, too. He accounted for 34 touchdowns and scored 204 total points from 2014 to 2016.
After starting his tenure with solid second-round picks in Rahim Moore, Orlando Franklin, Derek Wolfe and Brock Osweiler, Elway's last four second-round picks proved more head-scratcher than headliner.
"We made a lot of attempts to get up, " Elway said.
Celtics fall to Bulls in emotional game
Through three quarters, the Celtics only trailed by 11 points (86-75) but were far from grabbing any offensive momentum. We knew their stuff, jut like they knew ours. "So either after the game [Tuesday] night or Wednesday morning".
Broncos had two picks in the third round, and they used its second one on cornerback Brendan Langley out of Lamar.
In Walker, Elway once again drafted a player with an attitude.
"I'll just show them", Walker said.
DeMarcus Ware was an outside linebacker. Bolles tweeted at the time that his time at Utah "has been an incredible experience" and that he was "extremely grateful for Coach Whittingham, the entire coaching staff, and the support staff of the football program for molding me as a person, player and student-athlete".
"Even if I would've came in as the first pass rusher, I would've always had a chip on my shoulder, " Walker said in a conference call with the Denver media. "And after that game, yeah, he gave me the finger and walked off before I did the [postgame talk] after losing - we lost handily".
So, how do you think the Broncos did in Day 2, fans? "Guys went off and we stayed true to our board and DeMarcus was the top guy on our board when we got there so when that happens and it falls that way it's pretty darn good".
The Broncos got an explosive pass-catching running back, that is the kind of player Mike McCoy had in Danny Woodhead. After Day 2 of the National Football League draft Friday, they believe they've done just that.
