The Fate of the Furious Review: Shifting Gears

The Rock made headlines last summer after posting a heated Instagram rant, in which he called his unnamed male Fate of the Furious co-stars "candy a**es".

Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) has taken a step away from the Fast and Furious lifestyle and is enjoying his family life.

With Fast and Furious 8 now trail-blazing its way to box office brilliance the world over, the pair have been captivating audiences with their quick-quipping, musclebound characters, Deckard Shaw and Luke Hobbs.

But the Fast films are a money-making juggernauts and Diesel and Johnson seem to have buried the hatchet, so this spinoff looks good to go-and let's admit it, it can't get here soon enough.

The film would reportedly revolve around Hobbs and Statham's Deckard Shaw going after the newest villain to the franchise, Theron's Cipher, and be written by series architect, Chris Morgan.

"They had early screenings where Johnson and Statham popped so much on-screen together that they were looking at doing a spinoff", one insider said.

Chappell takes Texas Open for first US PGA title
The 40-year-old said the results are great for his confidence heading into the middle of the PGA Tour season. Chappell consistently failed to slam the door with several two-putts over the back nine.

And that's exactly what Universal plans to do with The Rock and Jason Statham.

It had previously been suggested that the eighth instalment, The Fate of the Furious, would be the beginning of a closing trilogy, but speaking to Collider this week, Moritz, who has produced every film in the series so far, confirmed the news.

It's no secret that Johnson and Diesel clashed on the set of Fast and Furious 8, but a story that's been circulating for some time about a supposed after-credits scene that Diesel nixed. Tell me you wouldn't pay to see that!

That's not to say this is the end for the Fast and Furious franchise. Fans were shocked when Shaw killed longtime Toretto crew member Han, as payback for injuries his brother, Owen, received during Fast & Furious 6.

The Fate of the Furious is now in theaters everywhere.

Who do you think will win the fight?
