A disgruntled ex-gym employee shot two of his former coworkers before killing himself near an upscale shopping mall in South Florida, CBS Miami reports.
Miami-Dade police say the shooting happened during a dispute between the ex-worker and the manager. He said no one was being sought in connection with the shooting. The wounded "included the general manager, who is listed on the fitness center's website as Jeanine Ackerman and a trainer", the Herald added.
According to Coral Gables Police, the subjects involved in the shooting knew each other. Information on the two wounded victims was not available. "I heard from my trainer that it was a trainer that had been let go".
A witness said there was panic inside the gym. The mall was on lockdown for a time until police secured the scene.
The Miami Herald reports that almost 100 people were eating at Yard House's outdoor patio when the shooting began.

"They said run, and I ran", said the woman, who declined to identify herself to an reporter from the Associated Press.
The shooting took place around 1 p.m. and the scene was secured by around 1:45 p.m., a police spokeswoman told the Herald.
This video shows police patrolling the area at around 1:30 pm after it was placed lockdown, and as people were being sheltered in a restaurant.
Miami-Dade police are investigating the shooting.
