The on-court issues have been obvious for weeks.
Granted, we have no idea what goes on in the Cavaliers or any National Basketball Association locker room.
The champions are showing cracks - and weakness.
James made 14 of 22 shots in 30 minutes as the Cavs snapped a three-game losing streak and won for just the third time in eight games to end the month 7-10. Myles Turner short-armed an open jumper set up by George with 1.3 seconds in regulation, and C.J. Miles a corner 3-pointer, again set up by George, with 16 seconds left in the second OT.
"My fault. It was my fault", Lue said. "Blame it on me", he joked. With a recent 127-115 victory over Cleveland, they have shown that they can beat highly talented teams.
As James iced his ankles and knees after battling Paul George for 52 draining minutes before putting away the Pacers, Thompson was having trouble cooling off.
Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James publicly advocated for general manager David Griffin to receive a contract extension with the organization when his deal expires after the 2016-17 season.
Thompson's answers were curt, programmed.
"We're family", Thompson said.
James wasn't bad himself - he scored 41 points to go with 16 rebounds and 11 assists for his 11th triple-double this season and the 53rd of his career.
However, heading into that game, they're going to be in an awkward position with some conflicts of interest.

Thompson was obviously upset after the game, and didn't wait for James to finish his session with reporters before he answered a few questions from the much smaller gathering surrounding him. There was none of that love Sunday, with the postgame vibe subdued and odd.
Despite the Cavaliers' recent difficulties, James said the spirit on the team never flagged.
Well, there may be some exposed nerves now. This writer, a big fan, was very disappointed in how February and March have played out. The Cavaliers were past 100 points in the 3 quarter alone.
James blamed the poor execution on a lack of practice.
"We haven't practiced anything, especially late-game situations", James said.
Lue already took some heat these last couple of weeks on resting James, Irving, and Love in order to prepare for the playoffs.
The Cavaliers are still a half-game behind the Boston Celtics for the number one spot in the East.
Jaylen Brown added 16 for the Celtics, who will be no worse than tied with Cleveland for the best record in the East when they host the defending National Basketball Association champions on Wednesday. He's had disagreements with teammates before, which is why he did all he could to diffuse tension afterward.
"We all understood that and we've got to keep building from here and not look back".
James knows this isn't the time for a family feud.
That's for the future. The Cavaliers won 135-130 in double overtime.
CLEVELAND - Kyrie Irving slammed Philadelphia 76ers' forward Justin Anderson into the sideline to earn a flagrant foul less than 90 seconds into the game Friday night and declared it payback for rough treatment of Cavaliers teammate LeBron James.
