In the US, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ will have the eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, while in other regions the phones will have Samsung's homegrown eight-core Exynos 8895. It includes 64GB of storage, which is double what came on the S7.

Expandable memory: A microSD slot will support up to 256 GB. The design is better, the display is better, the specs are better and it's more powerful. The Galaxy S8 features a larger display than its predecessor, the Galaxy S7, and sports a voice assistant.

Despite the Note 7 debacle, Samsung reported a profit of 9.2 trillion won ($7.9 billion) for its most recent quarter, an increase of 50 percent from the year prior and its highest level in three years.

Industry watchers said the update came as a rising number of users enjoy gaming and video content on their smartphones. Not all touch commands will have voice counterparts right away. Bixby will also offer information on books, wine and other products scanned with the phone's camera. For instance, you can look up wine ratings or the prices for books. Moreover, Samsung has added a new haptic feedback engine that provides a noticeable feedback similar to actual clicking, nada else. The chipset will most likely be Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 SoC. or Exynos 8895 SoC. Samsung has said that the Galaxy S8 series will be available in different variants based on markets, hence the two types of chipsets. You can also use the camera to unlock the phone with your iris. Plus the fingerprint scanner, while inconveniently placed, will help keep all your sensitive business data safe.
