Drake's "More Life" Just Broke Record For Single Album Streams In US

Nonetheless, Drake has certainly found himself in good company with the release of More Life.

The fact that Drake views More Life as a mix tape than an official album is a good thing. Jackson called Beats 1 "the biggest radio station in the world" and boasted that there wasn't another station in existence that has as many concurrent listeners, (although Apple declined to offer specific listener numbers). It surpassed 300 million streams during its first week alone, breaking the record shortly held by Ed Sheeran's "Divide", which saw 375 million streams on Spotify.

The rap superstar's More Life debuted at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 album chart. The songs from "More Life" rallied an unparalleled 89.9 million streams globally in 24 hours on Apple Music, setting a new record for single-day record streams of songs from an album. The Apple Music team puts the success of the release down to Drake's close collaboration with Beats 1 and his OVO Sound Radio show.

Gonzaga beats Xavier 83-59 to reach first Final Four
Heading into Saturday, 42 schools had made it to the Final Four at least once since the tournament expanded to 64 teams in 1985. Everything is possible for a Gonzaga team that looked every bit the powerhouse that many were unwilling to concede them to be.

"More Life" takes #1 on the pure sales chart thanks to what Billboard reports as 226K in opening week USA sales. "We weren't a proven hit, we weren't a proven entity at all, whatsoever", says Jackson.

Rapper Drake performs onstage at the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Festival at T-Mobile Arena on September 23, 2016, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Drake is now in first place when it comes to solo acts, but he is in second when all names are taken into account. They have to be - they nearly have to make music a verb - it has to just move.
