Speculations are ending as it was announced that Zazie Beetz has been confirmed to play Domino in "Deadpool 2".

Zazie Beetz could be just about the ideal person to play the previously low key Marvel character.

Earlier this week, rumors surfaced that Janelle Monae would be cast as Domino in the upcoming Deadpool sequel. How long did it take you to read the name in those damn dominoes?

As one of only two survivors of a government experiment called Project: Armageddon, Neena Thurman gained the ability to manipulate luck and became the mercenary, Domino.

In Domino's Marvel appearances her most striking feature was her white skin and black domino dot over her eye.

Since Atlanta won't premiere until 2018, Zazie Beetz will have time to kick some baddie butt in a new superhero role. In the X-Men franchise, she'll be playing Domino, a frequent partner of Deadpool who first debuted in 1992 in X-Force #8.

According to Digital Spy, both Deadpool and Cable will be part of the "X-Force" spin-off, which has yet to see a release date.

Zazie Beetz has been cast as Domino in "Deadpool 2". We also don't know if Cable will come from the future, as he did in the comics, but given "Deadpool's" inside jokes about the X-Men movies' confusing timelines, that seems possible.

Deadpool 2 is now under production, and it's expected for a release in 2018.
