Woman accused of injecting woman in labor with heroin, meth

Police in New Hampshire say a woman in labor demanded a friend inject her with heroin and methamphetamine before firefighters arrived and she gave birth in an ambulance.

During the incident - which took place last September in Concord, N.H., but just resulted in charges today after completion of the police investigation - Felicia Farruggia, 29, was having contractions and screaming in pain, court documents say, and she begged her friend to give her heroin.

Farruggia now has six children, according to WMUR, all of whom are being cared for by the state.

Farruggia "was in full blown labor" but refused to call 911 until she had taken heroin, and begged her friend, Rhianna Frenette, 37, to inject her, police said.

Both women have been charged with felony reckless conduct with Frenette also facing a misdemeanor count on the same offense.

Senators seek evidence to support Trump's wiretapping claim
In a flurry of tweets Saturday morning, Trump said he had "just found out" about being wiretapped and pointed the finger at Obama. Hope Hicks is a spokeswoman for President Trump. "I have never heard that allegation made before by anybody", said Sen.

"Frenette attempted to inject Farruggia with an unsanitary syringe at least once before she successfully delivered a dose of the drug", the Concord Police Department said in a statement Wednesday. It wasn't immediately known whether they had attorneys; the public defender's office in Concord said it had no record that the cases were assigned.

Two women from Granite Slate were arrested after the authorities discovered that one of them asked the other to inject her with methamphetamine before going in labor.

Meanwhile, during her interview, Frenette told the investigators that she was, at first, baffled by her friend's request.

The attorney claims that Frenette described the reason for doing this as she said she's a "people pleaser". Frenette said Farruggia had been trying to shoot up herself but was unable to do so and broke the needle. An ambulance took the mom and baby to a local hospital. To boring out the pain, the woman asked Frenette to inject her with a cocktail of narcotics.
