At the Republican National Convention, Trump's National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, who resigned last night over potentially treasonous discussions with Russian Federation, urged Republicans to "lock her up".
The incident started with Democratic political consultant and Clinton ally Philippe Reines, who tweeted out a message mocking the Flynn family. "Dear Mike Flynn & Mike Flynn Jr., What goes around COMETS around", Reines tweeted, referring to Pizzagate.
In case you don't get the reference, Flynn's son was a big proponent of Pizzagate, the weird claim that Hillary Clinton and her pals ran a child sex-trafficking ring from the basement of the Comet Ping Pong pizza shop.
While Clinton indicated she wouldn't have necessarily said it that way, she claimed his suggestion had a point about the "real consequences of fake news".
Michael Flynn was among the harshest critics of Hillary Clinton's private email server during the presidential campaign.
Mentally ill, and armed
Senate approval on Tuesday would send the measure to President Donald Trump, who is expected to sign it. With a Republican ally in the White House, the GOP is moving aggressively on gun rights measures.
So in case you were wondering if Clinton is still bitter about the 2016 election loss, this might answer your question.
That's a reference to the freaky and unsafe #PizzaGate conspiracy theory that Flynn's son helped spread around the internet. The former national security adviser had allegedly told Vice President Mike Pence that his conversation with the Russian ambassador was "limited to small talk and holiday pleasantries", rather than discussion about sanctions, the New York Times reported.
In his letter of resignation, Mr Flynn said he had "inadvertently briefed the vice-president-elect and others with incomplete information regarding my phone calls with the Russian ambassador".
"And given your pizza obsession", he added, with link to a Domino's Pizza job link.
Following Flynn's late-night resignation from his post as National Security Advisor, Clinton's official Twitter account subtweeted a longtime aid who seemed quite pleased at the embarrassment on the Trump camp.
