Tonight's card will be headlined by a bout between Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie, who will battle for the inaugural, women's featherweight title. He hasn't beaten a now active UFC fighter since February 2011, but his slump isn't all that bad upon closer examination.
Holly Holm, the former UFC women's bantamweight champion, will fight for the honor of being the first featherweight champion, but she'll have to make it through Germaine de Randamie first.
"I'm a Christian guy, I'm a firm believer in God, and I know where I'm coming from and where I'm going", he said.
If de Randamie wants to give herself the best chance of winning she'll look to utilize the two-inch reach advantage that nature has provided her with.
"I just think I want to win this and whatever happens after is great", she said. A dynamic and risky competitor, but more importantly, a legitimate threat to Holm's title hopes at 145. "You're going to see a top of the game Anderson Silva".
The main card is packed with action outside of those fights, as well.
For years, the fighter widely recognized as the best women's featherweight competitor in the world - and, many also insisted, the overall best women's pound-for-pound fighter - was Cris "Cyborg" Justino.

Toledo, however, had denied any role in the graft scandal last week, the agency said. Toledo's lawyers have stated they will appeal the resolution.
After suffering an horrific broken leg in his second bout with Weidman, the loving father of five detailed how his family came to him, pleading with him to hang up his four-ounce gloves, only to be rebuffed like the 10 men who tried to wrest the middleweight strap away from Silva prior to Weidman's shocking win at UFC 162. Anderson then got a rematch against Weidman about six months later, on December 28, 2013. Maybe they should have listened to her.
UFC 208 takes place on Saturday night and we've got our predictions for all the fights for you below.
Both women are hoping for the honor and will fight in the main event of UFC 208 on Saturday. Anderson denied taking the drugs, which are called drostanolone and androstane, but his denial was to no avail and he was disciplined by NSAC (Nevada State Athletic Commission).
Silva enters this weekend's penultimate bout in a curious position, having lost each of his 2016 appearances, but having shown glimpses of his old self in both. Brunson, who has no official fighter nickname listed, is eight years Silva's junior with a record of 16 wins and 4 losses. Silva is now winless in five octagon appearances, but has gone the distance in three straight fights.
When it comes to testing himself, Silva views the fight with Brunson as an interesting challenge, but not the one he seeks most. They waited this long to make the 145-pound title fight, why not wait a bit longer?
And in another middleweight scrap, Ronaldo Souza is perched as heavy -500 chalk against Tim Boetsch, who sits as a +350 underdog, while light heavyweight Glover Teixeira is a -190 favourite against Jared Cannonier, who trails at +155. MMA is nothing if not unpredictable, but if either fighter voluntarily goes to the ground tonight, it likely will be to seal the deal after a punch or kick that dropped the other.
